Hotel is nice. But the swimming pool is very small. it's a goog 4 stars but not a 5 stars. Nevertheless the communal areas are lovely; tastefully decorated in traditional, understated French elegance. Reception and the restaurant are particularly lovely. The rooms are nothing special but are perfectly comfortable

We stayed in 'The Residence' side of this hotel - the carpet was 1970's brown style and looked as if it had been there that long. The two sofa beds were in the middle of the room so my kids pillows kept falling off in the night. The bathroom offered us a bath - a bath no shower - just... More

We stayed in the hotel itself, not the apartments. I think the hotel achieves its 5* status on account on the small swimming pool; it's rather more 4* in my opinion. Nevertheless the communal areas are lovely; tastefully decorated in traditional, understated French elegance. Reception and the restaurant are particularly lovely. The rooms are nothing special but are perfectly comfortable.... More

We stayed in a luxury suite for eleven nights (my wife, self and nine year old son) The room was what one would expect of a high quality hotel. The hotel was well situated within easy walking distance of the port, aquarium and the market. The staff were fronedly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Eliza,... More

Stopped here for one night on the way down through France and would use it again....always a good sign. Chosen mainly because it had on site parking. Quadruple room was fine... Separate sleeping area for the boys. Breakfast was a bonus as the 15 euro price tag was adults only.....so four of us ate very well for 30 euros (amazing... More

Firstly, I do agree with the other contributors that the 5* rating applies to the hotel and it seems it deserves it as well. However that apartments are great but not 5*. All the hotel facilities are available and the apartments are serviced daily. We wanted the self catering accommodation so it was perfect for our family of 4. It... More

I'm giving this 4 stars because the staff were very helpful and courteous. The location of the hotel and the main part of the hotel is modern and clean, that is where it stops. The rooms resemble a North London bedsit, dull uninteresting and completely out of sync with the rest of the hotel. We didn't eat here so I... More

It's a pity to have to give this hotel only 3 stars as the positives are many.We stayed in the hotel not the adjoining block of self catering apartments. The location is excellent ,on a historic street, with adjoining ground level premises ,all converted to to unique retail units ,to give a vibrant daytime atmosphere and a quiet night time.its 10... I'd never visited this area before so I knew nothing about it so I was completely surprised to discover how very beautiful the hotel and town are. We were greeted as soon as we drove up and welcomed by two very kind and helpful ladies who showed us where to park our rental car in the underground garage. The hotel... More

We recently stayed at this hotel and it wasn't made clear by booking dot com that the five star badge doesn't apply to the self catering residence part of the hotel as well as the old part of the building...maybe not the fault of the hotel. Our room was ok but didn't quite live up to expectations, no aircon was... More
