Small roms, simple furniture and tiny bathrom, with som fungus - backyard, nice and quite location in the old town. Breakfast ok, somewhat limited and same assortment every day. All together reasonable value for money.

Whilst Ibis is a brand, each one in different towns across countries always feels welcoming and freindly with nice local touches.
First time visit to La Rochelle, so this hotel was in a great location to explore from. Staff as always went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one.

In the middle of La Rochelle's splendid old town, right by its wonderful market, five minutes from the port, it couldn't be in a better place. The staff were always kind and helpful. The rooms are rather cramped, though.

We stayed here for 1 week from 16 - 23 July 2011
Apart from being in a good location this hotel had nothing going for it. Room very small no tea/coffee making facilities no fridge bathroom tiny. Staff okay but when we asked for a good place to eat we were told all along front for eating places (not helpful)....

Pros: Very good location, close to everything. Rooms are basic but clean. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Sound insulation is poor. We could hear neighbors using bathroom and people talking outside. Our shower gel and hand wash was never topped up during the week we stayed. We had to ask for it at reception.
