We loved our stay here, our room La Voyageur was beautifully decorated and a good size for the smallest room available. The WIFI was available at all times and free of charge. Our hostess could not have been friendlier and more helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the city centre and a small walk to the... More

A little disappointed. We booked well in advance but a few days before we arrived received a note to say the place was surrounded by scaffold. We were given a very fair discount but had we been given more notice (it had very clearly been up for quite a while longer than we were told) we would probably have looked... More

Thank you for your comment. And please be assured that we understand your disappointment. Ours was no less, and we are more than sorry for the inconveniences imposed on those of our guests that were warned too late to make other arrangements. On the dates of your stay, the scaffolding should have been down already. Unfortunately, the weather played very... More

A quaint old house in the heart of La Rochelle (albeit it adjacent to two night clubs so noisy during the night), close to the harbour but lacking in the kind of amenities that were needed to make our anniversary weekend special. After an initial cold reception from the owner, Angelique, we requested an ice bucket and glasses for a... More

The Maison du Palmier is an ancient house … from the 18th century. Is it noisy? The house is located in the middle of the old town center, 5 minutes walking distance from the old harbor and around the corner of a very pretty street offering a wide range of restaurants. A characteristic highly appreciated from our guests. No room... More

This B&B has a great (and safe!) location near the harbor of La Rochelle. The house itself is beautifully furnished and decorated, the rooms are clean, spacious and of the highest quality, and angelique, the host, is incredibly friendly and caring. The French breakfast is served in a wonderful little courtyard in the front of the building -- all in... More

This gem of a B&B is a little difficult to find as there is only a small plaque on the wall to announce its presence. But it's well worth persevering for the sheer loveliness of it. There's but a handful of rooms. The room we stayed in was charmingly decorated with a view over the square. Breakfast was excellent with... More

Charming B and B in ideal position, close to everything. Only 15 min walk to station too! Room spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, with full bathroom en suite. Our hostess most helpful. Breakfast was delicious, fresh produce continental style, served out on patio when weather permitted. Overall a quality establishment, and priced accordingly. There was a little street noise, but...
