This is a wonderful place to stay, the hosts are very welcoming and friendly. We arrived by motorcycle as part of a tour of France, it is ideal for the motorcyclist as it has secure parking right outside. Angouleme is a short walk (albeit a fairly steep one) from here, where it is possible to find good bars and restaurant... More

Historic old sheep farm very nicely transformed into a B&B with a gated entrance for safe parking. Easy enough to find with either satnav or following signs to the golf club. Huge garden. The rooms are quiet and great fun being plenty big enough and yet retaining some of the quirkiness demanded by the old building. Nice selection of old,... More

Excellent in every way. Note entrance is big white double door & the road is signposted for the golf club. If you want to stream movies or watch a giant plasma tv not for you. Taxi into town €12. Great views from my room. Owners are lovely as is the pool area.

Stopped for one night en route to Dordogne, found owner very obliging, the room very clean and chic, and breakfast area elegant. The whole setting, overlooking Angouleme on the next hill top was near enough to be convenient, and far enough away to be quiet with great views from the garden. Walking to town is possible, but driving takes about... More

This is a "I must stay here hotel" if you are in the area. With an unrestricted view of Angouleme, in the middle of the golf course (five minute walk from the first tee) golfers paradise, swimming pool in spacious garden and secure parking what else do you want? Bedrooms spotless, breakfast superb. I would consider this to be one... More

Lovely place- highly recommended- charming hostess- lovely rooms, great view- a treat- only issue is that it is a little hard to find but wonderfull and would come back again in a hearbeat. hostess also recommended a lovely restuarant in town for dinner- could not have asked for more. We stayed at Champ Fleuri for 3 nights in August for a nearby wedding. The B&B was amazing and the hosts very welcoming. We had booked all five rooms, so it really felt like we had our own villa. The rooms are very French, spacious and airy, the pool is lovely and the views of Angouleme are beautiful. The breakfast... More

We have stopped a few times in the Mercure previously and decided to give the Champ Fleuri a try for two nights in February of this year. The rooms are beautifully decorated and contained within the older part of the property. The hosts, Barbara and Xavier are very welcoming, Barbara speaking good English but also tolerant of our patchy French.... More

we stayed in this property in one of the 5 rooms on offer the owners were very friendly, had a lovely property with magnificent views breakfast was included, only downside it was winter we stayed there so we could view properties in the area, but sure it would have been much better in the summer, as it had a swimming... The hosts here are lovely and she speaks English well. There is a great view of the city from the garden and a nice looking pool (although it was too cold when we were there). The only potential downside is if you want to explore the town you need to drive in as is it is too far to walk,... More
