We use this Hotel at least a couple of times a year and I have previously written a favourable report. I am writing again this evening to particularly commend the Restaurant. This alone is worth the detour. We have just eaten a marvellous dinner. Carpaccio of Salmon starter, generous portion of raw salmon covered with smoked salmon and salad. Size... More

Significantly outside of Laon, the hotel is quite isolated, surrounded by fields and the lake. Plenty of car parking space, but most of the rooms appear to be facing the lake. The room we had was nicely furnished in the bedroom, very comfy beds, with space to spread out a bit. The bathroom seemed to be waiting a refurb, dark... More

Check in was extremely efficient which followed throughout our 1 night stay. We booked at short notice and were extremely surprised that our room had direct access to the lake which was amazing. We enjoyed dinner which was good value however breakfast was a little disappointing for the price. This is ideal as a stopover when travelling to/from Calais and... More

A group of twelve of us used this hotel to and from a week's trip to Germany on a car rally. We were all very taken with the hotel. The setting is glorious overlooking Lac Ailette and there is plenty of outside space and a swimming pool by the lake. On our first stay we were very happy with the... More

This is a very well appointed Hotel on the edge of a lake. All mod cons all worked. Bathroom was excellent with led shower heads in case you got bored with showering. There was also a jacuzzi in the bath room. The room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the lake. A kingfisher was flying up and down the... More

Approx 2.5 hours from Calais this makes a good overnight stop when you're returning homewards. Absolutely in the middle of nowhere - though as a couple of other reviews say this could be a useful place to stay if you were visiting Center Parcs. A beautiful lakeside setting. Good quality rooms with tea/coffee facilities and mini-bar. We dined in the... More

This hotel, now an Interhotel and previously a Mercure is in a wonderful location, with all rooms overlooking a large lake. Not near anywhere so not a hotel you're likely to come across on any main road. Room are average three star size, of good quality and exceptional value for money. When we re there the hotel as very busy... More

A little off the beaten track but well worth a short detour. Spacious private parking. Plenty of luggage trolleys to use. Reception staff were friendly and the room was a good size on the ground floor with lovely lake views over a large lawn. It was clean and the shower was one of the best in France. The terrace bar... I've stayed three times now at this hotel, just for one night each time on my way to Austria. All stays have been wonderful. Lovely rooms with balcony overlooking the lake, very helpful staff and good food. Just beware that the bar is very expensive.
