We have stayed at La Banniere many times over the years. If you travel through France then this hotel is an absolute must, it's classic. Very lovely, quaint, quirky, but oh so memorable and charming. I loved this hotel. Right near the heart of the old upper town, near the old cathedral. Quaint 17th century building. Very old fashioned hotel (they want you to hand in your passport in exchange for the front door key!) Hotel is clean, building is interesting. Breakfast is very meagre and definitely not worth 8 euros. Laon is not really worth staying in for more than one night as there is not all that much to do... more
