Not a great hotel. Avoid if you are expecting a modern and fresh place. Laon is a beautiful town and worth the visit. But search for a better hotel to stay, Even if needs to be outside of town wherever

Stayed here for one night as part of an Alfa coach holiday. Room appeared clean but smelt of cigarette smoke. Ground floor room had no window, just a patio door which had to be shut overnight for security reasons. No air conditioning. Beds very comfortable (twin room). Very good and plentiful breakfast. Located on outskirts of Laon.

Conveniently located hotel close to the Calais-Reims motorway. Rooms are at a good standard and the restaurant provides an excellent varied menu and it was good to see that local people were also enjoying their dinner in the restaurant.

Not the best hotel experience. Stayed over one night on way to Reims and will not be returning. Room had a damp smell to it. Only found out in the morning a huge rising damp patch in the corner of the room, it was all over the carpet as well. We didn't pay for breakfast but asked for one cup... More

Ideal for a stopover enroute north and south. Rooms are large, very clean and freshly decorated. Bathrooms on the small side and a bit dated. Restaurant excellent with a wide choice of meals. Breakfast typically French, meat, cheese, bread etc and plenty of it. Well worth the money.

St Vincent has not moved with the times - seriously in need of a refurbishment. Shower was hand held or needed to kneel down, not easy if not too nimble. No air conditioning. Regret you would do better at one of the chains.

We shot past the hotel first time, as we found the sign rather low and difficult to see, but maybe that is just us, as the hotel is right on the roundabout off the motorway. It looks like a motel as it is single storey, long and low, with plenty of parking space. The receptionist told me he was also... More

Having seen Laon from the autoroute for many years we decided to break a journey home with a night in Laon. Hotel St Vincent is in a commercial area quite distant from the historic old town. From the outside it looks to be stuck in the 1970s and in need of investment. Inside it is vast, clean and very 1975.... More

For some reason the card machines in the 'chain' budget hotels were not accepting any of my plastic - I had driven from Reims trying to get a bed for the night. At midnight I spotted a receptionist int his hotel and stopped - although it was more expensive that I had wanted it was a relief to find a... More
