Beautiful, large bedroom and bathroom with great views of pool and woodland. Lovely grounds, pool and lounges to relax in. Very friendly and helpful hosts, Louise and Sukru couldn't have done more. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful choice of excellent restaurants all within easy walking distance of hotel.

We spent two nights at the Chateau de Verrieres, and it was wonderful. The hosts are very friendly, and welcomed us to their beautiful home in a very genuine way. The rooms are all decorated differently - we were in the 18th century red room (it was a proper name but I can't remember it). There are lots of details... More

We only stayed for one night but it turned out to be one of those hotels you wished you could stay longer. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the ambience was created not only by the lovely building but the sense of being a family guest not only of the owners but the dog who greeted us at both... If you are looking for a hotel with a difference then try this beautiful chateau. The lovely owners made us feel like welcome house guests rather than just customers and their advice about local wineries, restaurants and things to do was spot on. The rooms are huge and equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. A gentle... More

The UK reviews have said it all. We arrived after a long drive to be greeted by our hosts with a personal touch that remained throughout our stay. We stayed in the Little Green Room perfectly described on the website. It may be smaller than the other rooms but no less charming and would have been just as suitable for... More

This was a last minute get away and we stayed for 4 nights. It is a wonderful hotel with just 10 rooms but the welcome is huge ! Although the Chateau is rather "Grand" looking It has a great homely feel and from the moment you arrive you relax. The pool is a bonus and is beautifully clean. As we... More

Have just sat and read the English language reviews over the last year. Little that has not already been said and feel sure that the two only less than 5 star ratings were very unfortunate. Strangely we spent one of our two nights as the only guests(they were piling in as we left though) and when the charming owners found... More

From driving into the Chateau to driving out on our last day, we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Our Hosts and Baron their pup were both discreet but available at the same time. We had the 'Sunrise' room which was expensive but worth it, and the use of the whole downstairs made for a very sociable after dinner digestif... More

This is a beautiful old house converted to a hotel some time ago. The current owners haven't had it for long, but they've obviously lavished an enormous amount of time, money and energy on it; the decor is superb. A little too good, perhaps - we almost didn't dare touch anything for fear of staining or damaging things (the cream... More

We spent one night here as part of a cycling tour in the Loire Valley. As others have said, the place is wonderful. Our room was immense, spotless and had everything we needed. The breakfast had a great variety of delicious items. We enjoyed the pool on a hot afternoon as well. But the best part was the warm welcome... More
