Even arriving late, we were allowed in one of the pools - didn't realize they had cabana style accomodations as well! But the hotel is quite nice, the dining is truly excellent - not just in taste but in presentation AND imagination. We stayed in Saumur just recently for 2 nights as a get away from our time in Paris, hotel was great with staff very accomodating and the rooms of a good standard. This hotel has a Very Nice location on a hill above the charming town of Saumur. The grounds are spacious and the view spectacular. The restaurant is of the gourmand variety. 2.5 hours for dinner and Very Expensive, but excellent. The room was a disappointment, but the bathroom was great. more
