This is our third visit here on our way home, we had a studio apartment again which we love as it is a lovely big room with mini kitchen with fridge etc. the staff are lovely & remembered us again this year, the veranda looking out on Saumur & the castle is lovely, the food although not massive portions is... A very nice location. The rooms were functional, small and in our case very hot. However the food was excellent and the owner is charming. Local interest was Le Cadre Noir which was brilliant. Also strongly recommend visits to Chateau Breze and to L'Abbaye Fontevraud both of which are wonderful and most interesting.

We stayed here for one night of 4 spent in the Loire, and would have stayed all 4 nights if this had not been one of the worst, most expensive hotels we have stayed in. I heartily agree with middle53 that the restaurant is pretentious, the staff rude, and the food way over-priced and not even nice. We have had... More

We were staying in the hotel for one night The reception staff were brilliant. the young man who served us superbly at the bar was extremely courteous and helpful. The dining waiter was rude to my wife. (She chose not to have a starter and was virtually excluded from any conversation by the waiter) The food was OK but typically... More

This was the second time I had stayed at Les Terrasses and it was as pleasant as the first trip. The best features of this hotel are definitely the view across to Saumur, the outdoor pool and the restaurant. As a stopover of a night or two, it's a great choice but not one that I would choose for a... More

This is the second time we've stayed here on our way home from holiday and it has been a wonderful end to our trips, this year we had one of the studios which had a little kitchenette with fridge and a little terrace outside with table & chairs & a couple of sunbeds which was nice to chill some wine... We had to stop over for one night on our trip to the south and this hotel fitted the bill with good parking and on site restaurant. The sat nav had a problem finding it and we had to refer to a satellite photo on our iPad to locate the hotel so check location in advance. Very friendly staff and... More

Stayed here for a number of days whilst travelling. We were taken to an apartment in the hotel grounds which had basic but functional decor and furniture. Arranged on two floors, the top floor was the bedroom with a double and two single beds (no privacy if the kids are with you). Reasonably equipped kitchenette. Cooking facilities were fine -... More

We chose this hotel because it appeared to be in a quiet and elevated position overlooking Saumur in the Loire Valley. I was initially a little concerned that it overlooked an airport, but soon realised that this was an aerodrome for the occasional light aircraft, and as it turned out, for skydiving. Otherwise a wide grassy field, with fresh air... More

Stayed here on the 4th night of a recent motorbike tour. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the countryside and the local town. Rooms were great, very clean. It was a little expensive compared to other places, €5 for half a pint of beer is a bit much, and the restaurant menu was also similarly priced! Bed was... More
