Stayed here for one night - arrived early evening. Receptionist pleasant enough, bars and restaurant didn't seem to be open but we grabbed a great takeaway pizza to eat in the room. We had a triple room, which was plenty big enough, and was clean. A good stay, more

This was a nice room, very clean if a bit small and crowded. Lots of dark panelling which didn't help. Receptionist had good enough English and recommended a good downtown, crepes cafe, La Bigouden, for supper. Streets were narrow with no parking close to the creperie, but there is good public parking about 1.5 blocks NW of the cafe. We arrived... more

When we read previous reviews, we had some concerns. However, we found the hotel to of a very good standard with friendly professional staff. Our room was on the 1st floor and togethert with the bathroom was spacious, clean and well maintained. The hotel is on an island in the Loire River and is a short walk across the bridge... more

My wife & I used this hotel for a one-night stopover on a motorcycle trip to the Pyrenees. We were allocated a rather small room in the eaves - the bathroom was very tiny to the point where we both bumped our heards more than once! That said, the room was quiet and comfortable, and the jacuzzi bath eased our... more

Booked through Hotel.com for 3 night stay, got small room on 3rd floor. Room was modern with all necessary facilities for short stay. Located on island in middle of Loire, a short walk across road bridge took you into the centre of Saumur where there were plenty of restaurants and bars. Only downside of hotel was a bit of traffic... more

We stayed in Saumur in late May for 2 nights in order to visit the Loire Valley. As stated in other posts, it is situated on an island in the Loire River and a nice walk into the town center. There are also some nice restaurants on the same street as the hotel. A great Creperie/Italian place!!! I wish we... more

Saumur is at the Western end of the Chateau area around the Loire. The hotel itself is located on an island and is a traditional French city building. The rooms are fairly small but comfortable. The main part of the city is about a 10 minute walk. There is a small private and secure parking area, otherwise, parking is in... more

I would highly recommend this hotel - just as i'd given up finding reasonably priced accomodation in France which wasn't dated and uncomfortable, along came the Adagio! Stayed in a Prestige room - huge superking bed, flat screen tv, quiet aircon, modern decor and a huge bathroom with bath and shower. Despite being on the corner of the building, with... more
