The hotel is centrally located in the beautiful preserved city centre. The reception area and staircase are elegant and well preserved for an old building but the bedroom we had was dated and needs upgrading. We were surprised breakfast was included in the overnight price. It was good by french standards. There is a beautiful bar area off the reception... More

This is not a grand hotel, this is not a modern hotel, this is a hotel, the way they were meant to be. A grand old building, a majestic staircase, large rooms, old fashioned furniture and wall-paper... Staff is friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable and the location is superb - you are in the centre of the town, with... More

The hotel is based in an historic mansion and is very conveniently located in the center on a prominent Place. We were apparently fortunate to get a lovely large room with two sets of French doors facing the front street - quiet at night, but busy in the mornings. The bathroom was spacious, with a very long, deep tub. The... More

Nice affordable hotel in a historic building in a central location. Friendly front desk staff. Room was a little dated by very clean and in good shape. Our street-side room was also noisy on a Saturday night. A little difficult to find if driving. Make sure to have your GPS on. There is free parking but the entrance to the... More

The hotel boasts it's smoke free but the first room we were allocated stank of smoke, and also overlooked a very unsightly burnt out building. Our second room was quiet, basic and stripped bare of any of the original architectural features which would have given it character, soul or bonhomie. The bathroom was large, clean and bright but was more... More

Old style French hotel. Rooms are basic and clean. Nothing fancy, it's a 3 star hotel. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is very central although if you are driving it is a nightmare to get to. My sat nav tried to take me the wrong way down one way streets and through pedestrian areas. In the end I dumped the car and walked, collecting it later when I was able to backtrack though roads I could drive down. The... More

Just spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite the amazing lobby, it's far from the fanciest hotel, but it was clean, everything worked and the staff were very friendly. Rooms are basic, breakfast is fine, location is excellent.

Very nice hotel in the centre of the city. Charming lobby. The room was very large (Room 406). The only problem was that the room was overlooking a roof and had no view. Location is very convenient. No atmosphere in the lobby. But excellent quality/price ratio.

What a funny hotel! Obviously used to be a bit grand, but fallen on sad days. Has some redeeming feature tho'. Parking, for one! Rooms are pretty awful, but adequate. Staff were very helpful and tried to be welcoming, despite our second-rate french. Location is good, but hard to find in the dreadful Nantes road system. Give yourselves a bit... More
