We stayed for 1 night as were only driving through, great place, the bed was so comfortable and we slept really well and the breakfast was lovely. Its a stunning looking place and so much attention to detail even down to the tea spoons in the cups and the cutlery was all so nice and different. We drove and parking... More

The entry to this converted cathedrale is interesting and tastefully done. There is a lift and staff are most helpful The room was decorated well but with two large suitcases the two of us had difficulty having enough space in the room. The bedroom is divided from the bathroom by the heating water pipes. Our only other negative was the... More

Hotel Sozo is special. And different. It is a converted chapel beautifully transformed into a hotel . As you enter reception, you stand in a huge, vaulted space and you smile. Everybody does. The hotel is located next to the outstanding botanic gardens, Jardin Des Plantes, and is in an ideal location for a Nantes visit with a 10 minute... More

My husband James and I stayed in this incredible converted cathedral in September 2014. We stopped for one night only en route from Biarritz to Paris. We were at the tail end of a two week holiday around France, and were looking forward to a comfortable stay after a long drive. Hotel Sozo did not disappoint! We specifically requested a... More

This hotel is quite classy redeveloped from an old church. Our room had a stained glass window. It was an easy walk through a park to tram lines which took us to the walking elephant attraction.Parking @10 euros was available in the courtyard of the hotel. The staff were helpful and there was free WiFi. I am not entirely sure as to why... More

Loved this hotel. The staff were all lovely and helpful, we arrived a bit early and they took our luggage to our room while we were returning our hire car. They explained the area well and gave us restaurant recommendations. Our room was great, sadly no stained glass window, but still absolutely lovely. It's a 10-15 minute easy walk into... More

Staying in this delightful hotel is a real treat. Try to stay in one of the rooms with a stained glass window, as waking up in such a room is quite an experience. But everything about the hotel is wonderful - the staff is friendly and accommodating (they even researched and printed out train schedules so we could go to... More

I stayed here in Sept 2014 for business. To start with, this hotel looks the part. Set in a chapel, the hotel combines a traditional building (with great windows and ceiling) with a contemporary modern feel reception. It looks like the 4* hotel it's advertised as. The staff are also friendly and checking in and out was painless. But as... More

We stopped over to break the journey from Bordeaux. As soon as we arrived the staff explained everything including using the trams to make sight seeing as easy as possible. Our room was super and the bed linen fabulous. We will be back if we are in the area again.

Design hotel in a chapel from the XIX. Century. Great if you love contemporary design, boutique hotels and excelent personalized service. As I had read here the comments on room sizes, I booked the most expensive type, which is also the largest one: still, rather small and VERY dark. Breakfast is excelent, over the average of a 4 star hotel.... More
