A special Chateau with special rooms and an excellent restaurant. The room we had was in the converted barn separate to the Chateau, a very large room, beautifully furnished with bathroom and shower all completed to a great standard. Dinner in the dining room was excellent and in the summer the terrace looking out over the countryside would be an... more

This hotel is in a beautiful setting in the countryside. Our room was in the attics but it was very nicely decorated and big enough. The bathroom was excellent and we had a very generous array of toiletries to use. Fruit and cakes were provided in the room also. We had an enjoyable couple of hours sitting reading in the... more

We have stayed at this chateau several times over the years. We went back this month because we have enjoyed it so much before. I doubt we will go back. We stayed in the main chateau, and the room was great - incredibly high ceilings, and flooded with light (although the bed left a lot to be desired and I... more

The Chateau is absolutely lovely, with beautiful grounds and rooms. The service was excellent and prompt. The dinner was fabulous; one of the best we had during our stay in France. The setting is lovely, but note it is pretty far from the most famous sites of the Loire Valley. But there were a number of things that were not... more

The best part about our stay was the setting, secluded, high atop a hill overlooking the river, with perfectly-kept grounds. We loved the misty, foggy mornings in May. We were annoyed by the pushy manager (owner or wife of owner?) and hard-selling hotel staff, who would ask every time we walked through the lobby if we would be eating there,... more

Chateau de Noirieux was the first chateau we visited after leaving Paris on our honeymoon. It ended up being the perfect way to start our exploration of the countryside. The staff was very friendly, and the accomodations were excellent. We were upgraded to a larger room upon our arrival, and we enjoyed a very good meal in the elegant dining... more

Spent one night at Chateau Noirieux, wish we could have spent more. Although we had a small attic room it was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant was fabulous and the chateau and it's grounds are nothing short of magical. I highly recommend this property and would return again. more

We spent two nights here in Sept 2003- Fabulous! It was worth the drive and being away from the main tourist destinations in the Loire Valley. This Relais and Chateaux hotel is very tranquil and restful. It looks like it's own little village! Accomodations were lovely and more recently renovated than many of the other R and C hotels we... more

It's actually been 8 years since I stayed at Chateau de Noirieux. My wife and I spent 3 nights there on our honeymoon. Truly a wonderful place. Everything about the chateau is excellent: the beautifully and individually decorated rooms, taking breakfast in the courtyard overlooking the Loire River, dining in the excellent restaurant, the personal service, and intimate environment. I... more
