On our first trip to La Baule we spent some time searching for a hotel before deciding on Des Dunes. The hotel is central and easy to find with private car parking. The receptionists were polite and very helpful as my French is not too fluent! The room was very clean and modern. The price was very reasonable and I... More

We were met by a very snooty receptionist who told us with great pleasure that the hotel had sold our rooms as they could not get verification from our credit card bank. This was because they input the wrong code. They did email us but at 9.30am on the day we arrived, this is not acceptable. If they had contacted... More

Dear Madam, We do understand your disapointment. Waiting for an answer of your agency, before cancelling the booking, reception booked for you an accomodation at the same price in a nicer hotel next to ours. We hope you understand that on busy period we cannot keep a room without valid warranty Regards, Emmanuel More

A bit overpriced like everything in La Baule, but all in all a good hotel. Our family room was spacious and clean. I liked the small refrigerator in the room and the good wifi connection. The location is within easy walking distance from the train station, the center and most important of all: the beach. The hotel is decorated in... More

Nice little hotel. Very nice staff. The rooms aren't too big but good enough for the price you pay. Hotel has a own parking ground. The parking ground is a little bit hard to find since it's in the back in a labyrinth of one direction streets.

I spent the Christmas 2011 and New year at this hotel and liked it so much I was determined to return. I did so in January this year and spent four wonderful weeks relaxing and recuperating from a long illness. The hotel was in the process of being very beautifully refurbished and I shall return again to see the result... More

The hotel Des Dunes is ideally situated, being near the station, the market place, the principal shopping district and the beach. My room was extremely clean, the bed very comfortable and the modern bathroom had been completely refurbished. The excellent buffet breakfast was served in a very pleasant dining room, also completely refurbished. The manager and his team were very... More

Unfortunately there are only 2 good things i can say about this hotel... 1) The female receptionist is very helpful, very polite and very understanding. 2) The hotel has a good location in general. However, myself and my husband booked this hotel for 1 week 29th July - 6th August, we eventually arrived at the hotel at 9.30 pm where... More

We stayed here for 1 night on our way through France. The room was only 55 euros for a night so we could not complain about the price. The reception staff were polite and helpful and the hotel is situated in the middle of the town. The rooms were very small and very run down and old. The bed was... More

Classic room (extra charge of 10 euros) and superior room (+15euros) are already renovated. Our objective is to keep the hotel very clean and guarantee value for money. The breakfast is very imorpant for us and... More

Good location and a short walk to the main Restaurant and sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and the shower room recently re-furbished. My partner had left his mobile in the room, we contact the hotel and asked if they would post the phone to us. They kindly posted the phone to us. We... More
