We chose La Croix Blanche because it was centrally located to many historic chateaux (and only 2 hours from Paris!). The hotel is very modern, with all the rooms nicely decorated and wireless internet available. It is family run and operated with the principles on site every day. Really enjoyed the stay in La Croix Blanche. We were in new rooms, nice renovated in modern tastefull style. Most of the staff speaks also English, and some of them more languages like Dutch and Spanish. In the area there's a great old wild river (the Loire) and the large Abbey, very impressive. more

Clean, dowdy, unhappy staff, poor food - and if you're on the top floor a corridor with no natural lighting, short duration push button lighting and DIAGONAL ROOF TRUSSES at a low level!
