Me and my partner stayed here and the hosts were gems! beautiful location, peaceful gardens, lovely rooms and the breakfasts were excellent - I recommend a stay here, just a short stroll from the centre and a perfect base to explore the area, by foot or car. Paul H

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. This is the wonderful B&B and Catherine is the perfect hostess. I don't have any new information beyond what has already been submitted, but I second all the positive comments. A wonderful time visiting Rouen!

My husband and I just returned from France. We toured northern France - WWI battlefields and Normandy. Not wanting to be moving everyday, we booked four nights at a great bed and breakfast, Le Clos Jouvenet, in Rouen as our home base in Normandy. The B&B owner is a lovely lady (with a very friendly cat). She provided us with... More

We began our 2 week vacation to Normandy in this jewel of a home. The house, rooms and furnishings are understated, beautiful and inviting. The garden is stunning. The photos on the website do not do this place justice....it is much more lovely! The house is located beyond the main tourist attractions, but it is a manageable walk, and if... More

Over a number of years we have stayed in many chambres d'hote in France, often very good, but I can confidently say this beats them all. If I were permitted to give it six stars I would! Le Clos Jouvenet is a very appealing traditional house in a beautiful garden in an attractive quiet area of Rouen overlooking the city.... More

We had a wonderful stay at Le Clos Jouvenet for 4 nights while we explored Rouen, Normandy and the Somme. Catherine was a truly exceptional host who really went above and beyond offering recommendations of restaurants and sights to visit. Nothing was a problem for her, even when we left extremely early on morning to go to the war fields.... More

We had a great 2 day stay in June 2013 at Catherine DeWitt's lovely B&B. The home is a 15 minute walk- only hard to find the very first time- from the historic center. Very quiet property, beautiful, and she and her husband are gracious hosts. She was very helpful with sights and restaurants in town, and allowed us plenty... More

We had a little trouble finding Le Clos Jouvenet because of the narrow one way streets and our mapping program. However, once we found it, and Catherine directed us (backwards) down their driveway, we quickly figured out that we had landed in a fabulous place. The gardens that greet you are magnificent, even on a rainy day in April. The... More

Catherine de Witte's delightful villa set up the hill above Rouen, steps right out of a Sunday supplement, with its antique furniture and paintings, wooden and tiled floors, little nooks and corners, a large garden with loungers, all pulled together with Farrow and Ball paints and wallpapers. Our room, St Joseph only has a small shower room but we took... More

I recently stayed at Le Clos Jouvenet in picturesque Rouen. Catherine DeWitte & her husband were charming hosts and went out of their way to be helpful. The house & garden is gorgeous and I had a room overlooking the cathedral. The room was beautifully decorated with special touches (like bathrobe) as is the whole house. The French breakfast was...
