The staff were welcoming and very accommodating not only to us (for five nights) but to our extremely jet-lagged friends. The location was great, for restaurants, site-seeing, charming walks in the old town or down along the Seine, and - especially for anyone mobility-challenged - for the super-easy to use public buses, metro and Citi-bikes which have a hub one... First day of holiday and driving from Calais to Le Mans en route to South ofFrance we were caught in the worst storm I've ever experienced and had to make an Unscheduled stop in Rouen. Booked this place late at night from my iPhone. Friendly staff set up sofa bed for kids and we settled in for one of the... More

The room was small but adequate and clean with a comfortable bad To be honest I would have given it a higher rating except for the bathroom which was the narrowest i have ever seen. Getting in and out of the shower was a bit of a squeeze. Still for 2 nights it was fine. The other thing is that... More

Stayed here two nights on motorcycle trip- the handy secure parking always a bonus. I liked the fact they are trying to be a bit different, our room was funky and had a great roof garden decked out with all kinds of automobile related stuff- even traffic lights. The roof terrace has a great view of the city and seating... More

We weren't sure what to expect after the informal booking process (e-mail, no web forms or confirmation codes), but it turned out to be wonderful. Lovely room with a terrace overlooking the city; diverse and delicious breakfast fare; convenient access to major tourist attractions. Two very pleasant days in Rouen, and we'd love to stay in this hotel again.

I visited Rouen a few days ago and I was booked by my hosts at Hotel de l'Europe. The location is stellar: in the middle of old Rouen, close to all interesting places and to an underground parking for those driving (there is a special fee arrangement with the hotel). The room (I didn't get one of the hotel's three... More

This Hotel said that they hadn't received my reservation details so couldnt confirm our stay which meant we had to book elsewhere, they then charged the full price of 2 rooms to my card and refused to refund anything when I complained

We booked a twin room for a one night stay in the center of Rouen during late July. The staff was superb and friendly, providing us with a map (marking where we and the major attractions were), letting us keep our bags there after we checked out, and suggesting some locations for dinner. The hotel was very conveniently located near... More

A combination of our unwittingly booking a trip to Rouen during the annual tall ships armada and a couple of messed up bookings elsewhere meant that we ended up at this hotel rather than actively choosing it. That said we have a lovely stay and although the decor is a bit eclectic for my tastes the room was bright and... More

We had a nice but too short stay at the Hotel de l"Europe in Rouen. Great location ... easy walk to the cathedral and central marketplace where there are a number of restaurants. The gentleman at the desk marked routes to major attractions on a map for us. Room was not particularly large but certainly adequate. Updated bathroom. Attractive breakfast... More
