This hotel totally fits the bill: centrally located, nice and large room (they have two type of rooms, either 2* or 3* room - I stayed in a 3* room), very efficient and quick wireless service, pleasant breakfast. This hotel is ok if you are only staying one night but any longer is not recommended unless you're on a budget.The decor is in need of a facelift,the carpet in the shower room was stained from the shower continually leaking and to get in and out of the shower was dangerous due to the high step and limited space.On... more

We spent three days in Rouen and despite the bad weather had a great time. Hotel de l'Europe is clean and comfortable, would be a 3* if it had direct phone line in the room but otherwise was really spot on. This is a casual hotel with a very warm atmosphere that is in a great location, about 10 minutes from the train station. I had a great time here. It felt like a family run hotel . the staff at the hotel is very rude. They look like a 2* hotel . I went there because I have read some descriptions and seemed ok, but is not, especially if you are from some country the manager doesn`t like. more

A basic, friendly hotel close to lots of eating places, Monoprix Supermarket to buy excellant Normandy cider, good priced wine and champagne. Hotel rooms have no air-conditioning so if it is hot, it is hot. However the staff are really friendly and there is underground parking less than 2 minutes walk away. We are going back there this summer. more
