Stayed here on the way to the south of france, perfectly located. Incredibly clean and modern and staff extremely helpful. The furnishings were quality and attention to detail excellent. Only not given this five stars as it was quite expensive.

We stayed here in early July 2014 and had a great stay. The hotel is well maintained. Staff was prompt and friendly. The room was immaculate - very modern style. We stayed on the top floor and had a balcony with a great view of the cathedral. There is much to see and do in Rouen – lovely town. We... More

It has been modernised since we were here last, and I suspect has new owners. The prices have gone up accordingly, so it's not quite the good value it once was. Some things don't seem to have changed. As previously reception is often unoccupied and this makes entry difficult The sign said back at 2.00 pm, A fellow guest had... More

We read about this hotel in a guidebook and decided to stay a night there since it was so centrally located. The man behind the desk was only there intermittently throughout the day and certainly no one was there in the evening. Even when he was there, he was by far the least friendly hotelier I have ever encountered. They... More

My husband and I spent two September nights at the Cardinal located just across the square to the Cathedral in the old city. We were very happy with both the location in old Rouen and with the hotel, which turned out to be quite easy to find...certainly a bonus. A small lobby with a lift took us to our second... More

Pristine, large room, helpful people. ignore the two star rating ( no restaurant, no 24hour concierge etc). First class. Good restaurants nearby, interesting town and free sons et lumiere each summer evening.

This charming hotel is centrally placed almost on the doorstep of the Cathedral of Notre Dame. We have stayed there on many occasions and is a convenient stopping off point between the channel ports and the south of France (in our case the Loire valley). There is a convenient car park nearby which will cost about 10 Euros for an... More

It enjoys a wonderful location in Place de la Cathedrale with the cathedral in full view out the window maybe a 100 metres away. The Rue de la Grosse Horloge begins in this Place and this takes you down to the Place de Vieux Marche where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. You can park in the Place... More

Stayed one night in a corner room next to the breakfast room. The spotless room exceeded expectations! Huge by French standards, modern, bright, cable tv, large bath and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delightful and filling. (The owner's friendly cat visited when beckoned, but was not a pest. Loved it!) Nearby parking was under ground at a nominal fee. The... More

We stayed for 2 nights here. We actually thought it was a 3 star hotel and were surprised upon our arrival to learn it was a 2 star. The proprieter upgraded us to a larger room( the lift goes as far as the 4th floor and there were some steps to the 5th but it was easy.) We were helped... More
