We have stayed one night on our way to Brittany and have found it to be a delightful experience. Our room and ensuite is clean and overlooks the pretty courtyard, with a view of the Cathedral spires. Arriving, as we did, on a Sunday, meant we found free parking in an adjacent street, but we spotted two underground car parks... More

I was booked into this hotel by colleagues for an academic meeting almost opposite at the Historial Jeanne d'Arc. It has three great things going for it, viz the unbeatable location, the very tasty breakfast and bags of charm - the building is very old and eclectic in character. The hotel cat is friendly and approachable (though it got the... More

The hotel is perfectly located in terms of exploring the beautiful city of Rouen. However, the proprietors perhaps need to be reminded that today's sophisticated travellers expect a little more from a three start hotel and that they should not rely on perfect location to encourage people to return. The welcome was good but the positioning of a cat scratching... More

We only stayed one night and it was adequate for our brief sight seeing. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, stale croissants, sacred bleu! Stewed coffee! But in a nice historic looking room. The elevator is small, but being just two it wasn't a problem. When you order a taxi to depart I suggest you ask it to stop at Rue... More

This is a completely lovely hotel in an excellent location EXCEPT for the fact that there isn't anywhere to park nearby. There isn't even anywhere to stop the car and ask where one should park. The entrance is in a side pedestrian alley leading towards the cathedral. The access street is very busr with extremely limited parking. I ended up... More

We have stayed here for one night. OMG! Amazing location. Love the town it's like from Harry Potter! You can spend hours wondering around just enjoying the atmosphere. Hotel could do with a refurbishment, but it's got so much charm that you are willing to forget about some broken tiles in a bathroom :) hotel got small patio garden which... More

While our room was not particularly spacious or elegant, it was comfortable and clean. However, the location was superb! We were within walking distance of shopping, tourist attractions, and great restaurants. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. When our favorite restaurant was no longer opened, we were given several suggestions for dinner. The breakfast was fantastic!

We spent two nights here over the Easter weekend. Excellent location for sightseeing and lovely friendly staff. The room we had was compact but very clean and comfortable. Quiet at night. We didn't have breakfast but it looked good and nice bright dining room. Also a nice little courtyard to sit in. Parking is available nearby which was safe and... More

Good size double room but had a very small bathroom. Ok for me as I was on my own. Room was pleasant but nothing special. Bed was a bit soft for me. Staff helpful. Main attraction is the location, seconds from the cathedral and close to the hundreds of cafes, shops and restaurants in the centre of Rouen.

If you are looking for a neat, new, corporate style hotel with homogeneous rooms then this is not the place for you. However, if you like something with character, true French style and a great location in the very heart of the old district of Rouen, then you have found it! Several other people have commented on noise from the... More
