We only stayed at the hotel for one night. Found the staff very welcoming, helped us with our plans and provided discounts to local museums. Rooms were basic, but very clean. We had requested a quiet room, which was facing the rear of the hotel. No noise and disturbances at all, very pleasant stay. Only about 10 minutes drive from... More

We stayed here for the cheaper price. A passable hotel choice especially good for the friendly service and very decent french breakfast. Really more of a lower end hotel than a B&B. The rooms are quite small, its a walkup with no help, so beware if you have large luggage. The rooms are raw and simple, nothing fancy here. Our... More

What we liked: - Welcoming and friendly staff. - 1950's decor in an Auguste Perret's building. - Comfortable bed - Central location (next to Oscar Niemeyr's Volcan) - Easy parking - Wholesome breakfast. This hotel is unique and we strongly recommend it.

I booked this room with my family (2 children and 2 adults) for two days... It's not that far from the la havre ferry port. As we first walked in we saw a nice treat from the staff on the children's beds. The room was quite small and the tv only had French channels. Also, the shower was very small... More

When we got off the Portsmouth-Le Havre ferry, it was only a short walk away from the ferry terminal and took about 10 minutes to arrive at the hotel. It is right in the middle of the city centre with the Hotel De Ville around the corner and many things to do as well. When we arrived the hotel looked... More

We booked at the Hotel Oscar at the last minute, our usual (sailors) hotel being booked up (my husband is a French merchant sailer); And how pleased we were to find that not only were the rooms much cleaner and up to date than our 'usual' hotel, but it was much calmer, being a smaller hotel, and the staff were... We chose this hotel to a last minute trip to the region. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded with no cost. Breakfast was very good. However, rooms were poorly acoustically isolated, we could hear everything in the whole hotel. Thus, we had a very bad sleep. If you don't care about some noise, this place is... More

Managed to get a room for myself for 2 nights without making a prior reservation (I strongly advise making one). The hotel is recently refurbished and has a retro decor. It is about a 5 min walk from the Hotel de Ville tram stop. There are NO lifts. The single room (#15) is very small, with barely any space to... More

In the heart of the Perret district in Le Havre we stayed in this little fifties gem. A perfect place for everyone who wants to indulge in the fifties. The service here was exceptionally good, breakfast was more than okay (especially if you are familiar with the usual French breakfast).

I can't thank the hotel staff at the Oscar Hotel enough for their friendly service as my friends and I were stuck in Le Harve during an extreme snow storm. They went out of their way to help us with phone calls and advice. The rooms are also clean and the breakfast spread is lovely.
