L'Absinthe is a charming hotel with it's architecture and stained glass windows, warm welcoming fire in the comfortable lobby, and beautifully set up breakfast room (the dishes, so pretty). Our room was small, but comfortable and very clean--the bed and pillows very nice for a good night's sleep. We had a jacuzzi tub which felt wonderful after a long day.... More

Located just steps from the picturesque Honfleur harbor, Hotel l'Absinthe features good-sized, adequate rooms (no elevator) many with harbor view. Great personal service and the superb l'Absinthe restaurant next door are the best draws.

My only regret about L'Absinthe is that we were only able to stay one night. Such a charming and timber-beamed atmospheric old-world hotel right on the harbour! And every uniquely appointed room comes with a Jacuzzi bath ... a welcome and relaxing way to end a busy day of sightseeing. Fortunately, for us, we were some of only a few... More

Honfleur is very picturesque and full of tourists. This allows this hotel to charge rather high prices for a quite ordinary product. Our room was small but perfectly adequate. Likewise the bathroom where there was quite a large bath but with only a hand held shower. Everything was clean. Breakfast was good although the lady serving it was clearly very... More

We visited Honfleur whilst driving round Northern France and on the off chance enquired about a room at L'Absinthe early afternoon. We had parked in a meter pay car park just two minutes walk away (opposite the tourist information office) and returned to feed the meter for an overnight stay - total cost 8 euros (free after 6.00 pm) which... One of 3-stars that can be 5-stars and you would agree. Very warm, pleasant and authentic. You will never regret staying in L'Absinthe when in Honfleur. Location, welcoming reception - everything is very nice. Probably it is rated 3 stars because it is not "typical". 2 buildings, no elevator, busy parking etc. But if you are there for vacation -... A small hotel, with a few rooms in two different buildings, each about 3 floors. We had room 7 for one day (a beautiful suite), and room 10 for two more. Both had nice views of the harbor, very modern facilities. Internet slightly flaky. Only problem was checking in -- we arrived around 9:30 PM, "reception" was nonexistent (had to... More

We stayed there a few days and got to experience several rooms, 8, 11 and 12. Staying there with 2 kids, the first day we had to book 2 different rooms and ended up later on in the suite, room 12 on the top floor. This was a random choice, coming from the over-crowded Deauville this past august. The Absinthe... More

Lovely room, clean, comfortable bed and excellent shower. Air con. Excellent view. Nice staff in the hotel. Free coffee in the afternoon at the Reception was also nice but it would be better to have facilities in each room. There is no fridge /mini bar in the room which means that cold drinks are not possible. The main issue is... More

As a travel pro at DM vacation I always rate the hotel based on their advertised quality. This hotel overall meets the standard. The hotel has two buildings approximately 100-200 meters from each other. I was in the building that was separate from the lobby. The room was nicely appointed and very modern. Size was very nice. I had a... More
