We stayed in January = winter and the all city was very calm. The hotel is very good located in a quiet area but very close to all interesting places. Very nice staff and the place is perfectly kept. A good restaurant on in the hotel.

Good location, nice room but reception is difficult to find and only manned some times. When we wanted to check in around 4pm, the door was locked. Parking is in a garage about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Cannot help to get the feeling that the place would benefit from "Hotel Rescue" experts!

I was traveling with my parents and they had a lovely triple for the three of us and a fabulous breakfast in the morning. You are right in the middle of Honfleur for walking around and getting dinner close by. They have teas and coffee out all day to help yourself and a wonderful lobby with books and magazines for... Large, well appointed rooms with full view of the harbor and fishing boats. Large bathrooms, a/c controls in each room, and wifi is good. Very clean. Lobby is in another building and is perfectly cozy with large stone fireplace and a great breakfast not to be missed. One of the best little independent hotels I have visited in France and... More

Hotel Absinthe scores on several points, above all on location: it is a few metres around the corner from the wonderful old port, but occupying a characterful small street front of its own. The interior is warmly traditional, but with modern comforts. And the welcome is warm and efficient. We couldn’t have wished for a better spot on this first... More

Lovely, quaint, small hotel on the waterfront. Very central, but located just away from the main (very busy!) central harbour. Nicely decorated, and very comfortable rooms - Room 2 has a lovely double aspect over the cobbled side streets. Reasonable priced, although parking and breakfast is extra. Would stay again.

The title of my review says the most important things, I think. Breakfast was nice, too. Don't park in the private parking, even though it's free--it's too far from the hotel. Park across the street near the water in the public lot. The reception desk is a little tricky to find, but rather in a fun, this-is-an-ancient-village way. It's actually... More

These are the types of hotels I love. Small, cozy, feels like home. You wlk in to a nice little reception area ( after parking in their private secure parking, not eveident to find parking near by on street), and you are instantly greeted with a friendly hello. The main buidling has the breakfast room and a nice lounge area... More

Our major problem here was finding the hotel in the first place. The actual hotel has no address on it, and there is a place named Absinthe Hotel around the corner from where you have to register but there is no sign there directing you to the place you need to go. Also, there is no one at the desk... More

We stayed for 1 night in this delightful hotel in the center of Honfleur. If you are looking for a hotel with lots of character, then this is the place for you. The beds were very soft and the room was a lovely temperature thanks to the air-conditioner. Bathroom was well equipped and clean. We decided to look around in... More
