This was an absolute gem of a stay for my wife and I, and our 2 teens. We stayed in a 'Comfort Family Room' (named 'Luce', I think?), which was more spacious than we had even hoped for. This is not so much a hotel...more like a bed and breakfast with only a few rooms in it. And that's a good thing! **NOTE**: This is a VERY old building (and VERY well kept!) in an old fishing village, and as such, has a VERY tight spiral staircase to get from floor to floor (we were on the 3rd). The stairs are very narrow and steep, so be advised in case you have mobility/balance issues. There is a railing on the outside and a rope hanging down the middle to help with balance, but if your hands are full of bags/suitcases, be careful. Queen bed plus 2 singles in a VERY spacious, beautifully-appointed room with plenty of large windows and natural light. I'm quite tall so I found the bathroom a little tight (rainfall showerhead was at about 6ft, and I'm 6'3", and could have used a bit more elbow-room), but I was the only one that found this. Wife and teens were just fine, and it looks like some other rooms have more spacious bathrooms. Very nice continental breakfast provided in the quaint main floor common room by the wonderful and attentive hostess/owner, included yogurt, croissants/pastries, cereal, fruit, coffee, orange/apply juice, cheese and sliced meats, etc. It's a short walk (5-7mins?) downhill to the bustling centre of Honfleur which is covered in restaurants (we ate twice at Acte 2..great food and service), the harbour, a very large greenspace/park, playground for kids, walk along the harbour and on to the beach if that suits you, where the Seine river meets the Atlantic ocean. There is no parking specific to this location, but we found some on the (very narrow) street about 300-400m away. We never used our rental car once we arrived (very walkable village), and it cost about 12 Euros per day to park on the street. I would stay here again without even bothering to look for other options.

We had a terrible time with this property. There was a hole on the bathroom wall, no wifi, the key did not work properly, the staff smoked beneath our window constantly, and the staff was not willing to help out in any way. We asked for directions to a laundry service nearby and we were told there is one nearby, you can find it. Very inhospitable.

Four of us spent 3 nights at Maison de Honfleur for our pre Christmas trip. The accommodation was every bit as good as the photos suggest. Furthermore Christiene is the most delightful, interesting and perfect host who couldn’t have done more to ensure our comfort and provide us with essential tourist information - no need for a guide book (highlight was the Satie Museum). She also recommended 3 great restaurants; all different but exactly what we wanted. Our rooms were large and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms were a good size and with nice towels. The stairs, as others have mentioned, were a challenge but we (late 60s early 70s) fairly quickly got the hang of them. It was such a treat to have tea and coffee making facilities as well as a small fridge in our rooms. Breakfast was delivered to our door at an agreed time which was particularly good for a somewhat grumpy morning person like me: such a fab, hassle free way to start the day. Maison de Honfleur with Christiene made for a wonderful stay and we do hope to return later this year.

La Maison de Honfleur is an absolute delight. Small, charmingly decorated & beautifully run by the truly lovely Christiene. The rooms are very well equipped with kettle, coffee maker and well stocked with tea and coffee pods. Each room is eclectic, very comfortable (great beds!) & atmospheric. Breakfast is typically & deliciously French and delivered right to your door (your breakfast preferences are taken during your check-in). Christiene, is a force of nature! Welcoming, full of fantastic advice and recommendations and has that magic quality of actually caring about her guests. La Maison de Honfleur is a great place at any time of year, but is a wonderful choice during the winter months in my opinion. It's cosy, warm and a home from home, just a very short walk from the town centre and all its attractions and the waterfront. A great base from which to see all that Normandy has to offer. One point of advice though: The stairs which you have to negotiate to the rooms in the main house are very steep, narrow and twisty. They're fine if you take your time and acquire the 'nack', but not good for anyone with a mobility issue. Give the lovely Christiene a call if you need reassurance before booking. Thank you Christiene and we look forward to seeing you again soon on our next trip across La Manche! ..................

We were so excited when we arrived at La Maison. It is the most gorgeous fishermans cottage, with renovated rooms full of charm and original fittings. Christiene our host was warm and welcoming and happy to help with directions and recommend places to eat.The rooms are immaculate and have everything you could possibly need and the breakfast delivered to the door each morning was lovely. Its in a perfect position for walking around Honfleur and for exploring the beaches of Normandy. Parking can be a little tricky at certain times but Christiene was always able to find a solution.

Our 3 night stay at this sweet little B&B, run by the enthusiastic Christiene, did not start out well..we arrived too early, miscommunication, parked illegally, and no one was there..then it started raining. From there it went straight uphill. Christiene and her son arrived and got us situated in our spacious and well appointed room, named “Joseph”. Attention to detail makes a good B&B a great one, and this place had that! Ample closet space, good WiFi, lots of space for luggage, hooks and small shelves in the roomy bathroom. Large comfy bed, beautiful draperies and antiques everywhere. The little back yard was charming although we didn’t get a chance to sit out there. Breakfast quietly delivered at your front door at the time you specify. Proper China and cutlery, a nespresso machine, fridge, huge flat screen tv ( we never turned it on), and nice bath products. As is typical on Honfleur and other French villages, steep, narrow circular stairs. We were just a short walk to everything. Parking is devilish. So once you’re settled in a spot, walk everywhere until departure day. Thank you Christiene for a wonderful stay in Honfleur!

Lovely place. Lots of charm. Warm generous host. Good location. Unfortunately our group was Unable to manage the very steep, extremely narrow stairs and had to cancel our reservation. Christian was lovely and assisted us in finding a place more suitable to our needs.

Thanks you for your review. When you have booked in my guesthouse, you didn't see that it is in a typical fisherman house with old stairs. it is clearly stated on my website and on Booking.com I But I have accepted to cancel your reservation and I have organised everything to find an another place. I lost a lot of money, because you had booked 3 roms for 3 nights and you have only pay for one night...

I spent one night in this jewel b&b. The rooms are spacious and cozy. Breakfast is served in a basket waiting outside the door, so that one can enjoy the meal in the privacy of the room. The bedroom is lovely, the bathroom clean and modern. The owner is very welcoming. Just be warned that there is a narrow staircase to get to the rooms, so the highest floors are out of the question for the old or infirm.
