This hotel is up a very narrow street slightly away from but within minutes walking distance of the bustling centre of Honfleur. It is spread over a few buildings and has at it's centre a manor house which has the reception area, a lounge and a conservatory - where breakfast was served. The main body of the house is very... The outside of the bungalows was a bit disappointing but the inside of the rooms were very nice. As we were only there 1 night it wasn't a big deal especially as the inside was better. They should probably spend a bit more on the bungalow outside to fix them up a bit. We had a great breakfast the next... More

This is a wonderfully French quirky hotel but with the ability to cater for all nationalities. As one of the few hotels with on site parking, it makes it very convenient for exploring on foot. There is a delightful garden and a heated swimming pool and it is possible to take tea on the lawn. The staff are extremely friendly... More

Had a nice, quiet ground-floor room, away from the parking. Bed was comfy, bath was fine, TV and Wifi worked as advertised. A bit tricky to find the hotel even with GPS but parking was very convenient and private once we got there. Convenient location walking distance to harbor. Host was helpful and English speaking. Enjoyed our overnight stay.

A lovely hotel, we had a superior room which was at the top of the building, a few stairs to climb but soon got used to it. The room overlooked the garden and was therefore very quiet. Its only a five minute walk into Honfleur but the hotel is in a quiet part of the town. Car parking in the... More

My partner booked this as a little extravagant surprise for us, as I love Honfleur. It was a beautiful, romantic little place, up one of the cobbled alleys in the bustling Honfleur. Very friendly staff, very ornate rooms in lobby and reception with a sweeping staircase. Breakfast was served in the orangery and was 15 euros each, but lovely with... More

L'Ecrin was a big let down for us. Our room certainly did not live up to our expectations and the price wasn't justified. We were expecting to stay at a luxurious room (we booked a double superior room) in a grand old manor. Instead we found ourselves in a mediocre room located in a separate bungalow, which certainly did not... More

We stayed at this hotel with friends and we were all of the view that everything about it was excellent. All of the hotel staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help. If your French isn't very good, their English is perfect. The public areas and rooms are all spotlessly clean. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully... More

We booked the L'Ecrin as part of our Normandy adventure and were not disappointed. The hotel owner and staff were extremely pleasant, respectful and helpful. The hotel has some eclectic décor that may not suit everyone's taste but we loved it. Our room was on the top floor so we had a skylight in our bathroom which we could open... More

Stayed early January with friends. Very French decor and no meals served other than a very good continental breakfast. Private parking which is a bonus. Within easy reach of all bars and art galleries around harbour. Excellent and friendly service. Lovely rooms and plenty of heating if needed. Looks like they also have good outside pool and some spa facilities... More
