We stayed for 4 nights at Easter and couldn't have asked for anywhere better. Beautiful rooms and communal areas/breakfast area, with lovely antique pieces and finishings. The staff were exceptional - very friendly, helpful speaking English and great happy attitudes. They were more than willing to help us with an ice-bucket, bottle opener, etc for the room. They even kept... More

Lovely old hotel, full of antiques. Our room had a small balcony with a flag on it right at the front of the building. The position is superb, away from the bustle of the harbour but about a 7 minute ( for us) walk away from the restaurants on the quayside. The hotel has its own parking. Breakfasts were comprehensive,... More

We thoroughly Enjoyed the Hotel. The owner and staff were great! The man that helped us with our bags, Nam, was so welcoming and he later served as waiter at the breakfast area. He also was the gardener, which was quite beautiful. Would go again, room was good, bath good, loved parking right by hotel, within walking distance to everything.... More

We stayed in the Hotel L'Ecrin for three nights in September. A lovely small hotel in an old manor with a great location within walking distance to everything that you need. If you are looking for modern, don't stay here. The lobby is a lovely French parlor and the check in is a beautiful old library-type room, and the rooms... More

Faded colonial mansion elegance caught us by surprise. Great breakfast service, beautiful Far Eastern decor, furniture and charming staff. Rooms were comfortable, with updated bathroom and secure parking 2 minutes from old harbour. Reminded me of French Indo China - all at a reasonable price. Would go again

One night in Honfleur and we stayed at I'Ecrin. Beautiful entry with lots of antiques and car parking was accessible. Checking in is fun as you sit in a huge study at a big table in an ornate room. No lift but the porter took our bags up for us. The owner was very helpful with a map of the... More

A lovely hotel just tucked away with private parking. The owner was very friendly and spoke good english. Hotel has great character and rooms are big with good size bathroom and hot shower. Didn't get a chance to use pool but looked very clean. The buffet breakfast is expensive and not a huge choice. I would definitely stay at this... More

Just back from three nights at hotel L'Ecrin, Honfleur during a gloriously hot and sunny start to September. The hotel is a gem; beautiful interiors of antiques, chandeliers and sculptured ceilings and frescoes and with a traditional approach to hospitality (e.g bed linen changed every day!) but a modern approach to amenities; free WiFi, secure off road parking (rare in... Lovely room and the lap of luxury after our spartan hotel in Paris (no wi-fi, TV) and artistic surroundings was much appreciated. The staff very helpful. The breakfast in the solarium surrounded by geraniums was a delight. The weather was not good so we did little of the exploring in the seaport but let our imagination shine sun on the... More

Easy to find in the surrounding narrow streets of Honfleur. A friendly welcome from a gentleman of 'some years' experience, in a room full of wonderful French antiques. So different from modern hotels. The gardens are beautifully tended, as is the lovely pool and surrounding area. Our room was right at the top of the hotel, but we were given... More
