My wife booked by email and was impressed by how courteous the owner was. When we arrived at this charming place we were made to feel very welcome and shown to a wonderful bedroom up a steep flight of stairs - not for the faint-hearted. Parking is a bit of an issue but we were able to drop of our... More

Spent two nights recently a l'ecole, rustic , charming but with all modern amenities. Situated in a quiet location but close to the Vieux Basin, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommended it to anyone but then it might be fully booked when I return!!

A gem in the middle of Honfleur. On arrival the staff could not have been more helpful and all spoke English to some degree, making my schoolboy French somewhat redundant. The little courtyard is stunning and the rooms, up a very wonky staircase, are a delight. Very quirky with no straight lines anywhere! The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was... More

it is so rare to find a little hotel like this. We just spent one night there but wished to stay longer. Every room is unique and so charming that you really feel like in the last century which fits perfect to the whole atmosphere in Honfleur. But the best was the breakfast (hard to find a yumie petit dejeuner... More

This was a much planned celebration and we'd visited this hotel last year to make sure it was 'just right'! We were able then to chose our rooms and that was good as our first one was a bit bare. Recre - with a bath was our choice for my sister and her husband and we had Sylvia. Both were... More

We loved this hotel, the room was spacious and perfectly appointed with rustic items, china tea cups, and a nice big comfy bed. Being that it was originally a school there was an very old little text book on the bed, a very nice touch. Our room was right off the courtyard, which was also full of interesting items. Best... If you would truly wish to find rural France, with comfort, modernity, stylish decor with minimum 21st century pictures and decoration, this is the place for you. It was a school for girls and has been transformed into rooms and apartments Situation: within 100 metres of the main shopping street where nearly everyone WALKS, over sometimes cobbled narrow alleyways, all... On a busy afternoon, we initially struggled to find parking close to the hotel but were given helpful directions. The hotel is set around a pretty courtyard with a welcoming bar/breakfast room.. The steps up to some of the rooms are quite steep but well-lit. The rooms are creative and unusual - our bedside tables were old crates ! Our... More

Old buildings (15th or 16th Century in parts) which have been converted from a school, latterly, into a very pleasant and quirky B&B. We had a very nice room (but it didn't have a cupboard or drawers) with a bath in the room. It was very nicely, if sparsely, decorated. Very good "continental style" breakfast - you must try the... Delightful three night stay in this very unique lodging! Entry from street to beautiful inner courtyard covered with flowers. Rooms are creative rebirths with unusual outfitting! Electric glass panel heating, laundry type stone sink mounted on woodworking tool bench with vise intact, tub in sleeping area but marvelous... And somewhat quirky Internet access with 33 letter / number password. Excellent... More
