6 of us stayed here over the week-end of 10th-11th December, what a lovely place, the staff were absolutely lovely and very much on the ball. The rooms were clean, well presented and the lunch, evening meal and breakfast could not be faulted, well done to you all. Only a couple of down bits, if you don't know you can't... More

Playdon Oasts is a beutiful Hotel just outside Rye in Sussex. We stayed there over night on the way to a friends house. Its exterior is very quaint and romantic, just like the picture on the web. The rooms we stayed in was a standard double which was very adequate, if stuck in the seventies decoration wise. TV only worked... More

We booked this for a 1 night stay, based on other reviews, and it was absolutely gorgeous. There were 5 of us - 3 rooms between us, and we were made to feel so welcome. The young couple that run the place were fantastic and made us feel completely at home. The food was divine (all made fresh on the... More

The basic question for any hotel must be "was it worth the money?". In this case the money was £100 and the answer would be "No". Good for a £75 room but not £100. Room was clean as was bedlinen and nice white towels. Some effort had been made to make the room special, (apart from being round with a... More

We arrived on a Friday. Room was lovely, really cosy and exactly what the better reviews promised. I would suggest the bad reviews are people who have nothing better to do but inspect things and complain alot. Lovely stay, food, room, cleanliness etc. Loved the novelness of the round room and round bed. Xxxx

We keep coming back here! It's great. If you like excellent food, service, company and to relax then this is the place to be. The locals are brilliant and its nice to be remembered by the staff. At how many hotels do you get a hug when you leave?!

We happened upon the inn by accident, but it could not have been a more wonderful surprise. Our dinner was incredible, the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. We were lucky to get a room which was very clean and comfortable with very nice views. however, the stay was made as homey and comfortable as could be by the wonderful manager who offered... More

Don't expect curdles milk or flies in the coffee, but that's what we got. Breakfast very disappointing.

The "award winning food" turned out to be unimaginative pub food that was overpriced and there was nothing at all on the menu for vegans. We were told it was ten minutes walk from Rye but it turned put to be 30 minutes, and the carpeted toilet was threadbare and a health risk. No fridge or phone in the room,... More

Having just stayed for 2 nights @ the Playden Oasts as a suprise birthday treat, here is what I thought of the hotel and my stay.... Frankly it was great! Had room 4- in the Roundel- a very large room with a very comfortable round bed. Whilst the en-suite was small it was sufficient for our needs- and spotlessly clean.... More
