this is one of those places that is not an hotel but a place to sleep. Staff is oke, young and hard working. Breakfast is oke. price is far to high for this type of "hotel". Nevertheless it is booked, also by me, and that is all there is to say.

I have just stayed here for the last time after using Campaniles for 40 years. The room was OK (you get what you pay for at a budget hotel) except that the bed was so hard I woke up with aching back and shoulders. The meal though was just awful. The 'Buffet d'entrees' used to be a good meal with... More

The (non-smoking!) room stank of cigarettes. The kettle lid was broken. The fluorescent tube in the clothes hanging area didn't work. The door to the clothes hanging area was missing. Dinner in the restaurant was unmemorable. Breakfast was memorable because the fruit salad had fermented. For entertainment, you can stand on the gangway outside you room and watch drivers failing... We got there at night and only checked in without having a look at the rest of the facilities. Room stank of smoke, I could see hair under the bed sheet and my side of the duvet was ripped. Good value but just for a night sleep, no more no less, but that is what is expected by a Campanile.... More

Nice enough hotel for our needs. Very nice breakfast. Nice staff. Typical European hotel with fairly small rooms compared to what Americans are used to. I would recommend the McDonald's down the road!

Dreadful place. Find somewhere else. Room smelled of cigarette smoke. People could see in at night unless you had the outside blind down in which case you couldn't open the window. (Is this 200 words? I only wanted to write the first two sentences)

Whilst the hotel is tired the service and breakfast was excellent. The bedroom and bathroom were both warm and clean, both were in desperate need of redecoration and updating. However, the room did enjoy a new flat screen TV. The bed did offer an interior sprung mattress, which anyone with a bad back appreciates, as it is now standard practice... More

We stayed here as a base for exploring Lisieux and the surrounding area. The hotel itself was fine, the room was very clean and even had tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable. The rooms aren't over large but we didn't have a problem and it is a budget hotel. We found the meals - we took breakfast and evening... More

Had to stand at reception for quite a while while the staff were chatting in the kitchen. No means of attracting them, bell etc.Service for evening meal very slow, very poor selection in the buffet.(We ate at the Buffalo Grill next night, just along the road). On arriving for breakfast at 08.459finishes at 09.00)there was very little choice,no Croissants etc a few pieces of Baguette... This is a good plece to stay during the trip (business or leisure) through the Basse-Normandie region. The hotel is modern and offer an easy acces to Lisieux, Deauville and other local cities. The staff in the reception were welcoming and helfull, check-in/-out very fast. The room are not very spacious but are clean and in the good condition. The... More
