We booked a 3-person room for 1 night here to visit the Normandy beaches. I chose it mostly for it's agreeable location just north of Caen with easy access to the city (10 minutes via tramway), free parking and easy access to the beaches (just 2 km to get out of the city) The room was good with comfortable beds... I have mixed feelings about this hotel. On the plus side the access to all the nearby D Day sights is good. Parking is good and the hotel is set in a quiet business park/university campus so a peacefull night's sleep is guaranteed. The little bar area has plenty of seating and the male staff in this establishment are to... More

Booked in on Ledger Tour, this looked okay from reception and dining room. Carpets on stairs threadbare in places. Some lights in corridors not working or flickering. Rooms very basic even no cups just small plastic like cups. Water in shower did not run away very quickly, bath towels small no hand towels. Breakfast was continental only with only 2... More

We stayed 4 nights on a Leger battlefields holiday. We were slightly concerned to be booked into a 2* hotel and more so when we saw some of the reviews, but need not have been. The hotel is more than adequate. The staff were welcoming and always had a smile. Their English was excellent and they were very service oriented... More

Stayed at this hotel with Leger. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Caen and you will need to get a tram or taxi to centre of town. I too have read previous reviews and although the room can be described as basic but functional, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. Where this hotel shines though was... More

We stay here with Leger Tours on the Battlefield Tour. Hotel was Ok, food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Room could have done with some drawer space , but only there four nights, so left clothes in suit case. Booked a twin room, only to find three single beds in, so if they had kept it to a twin... I have just got home from a Leger battlefield tour, i, like many others read the reviews and was a bit concerned.... So, this hotel is clearly budget, and starting with the less good points, its a little way out of town, rooms aren't huge and its a tiny bit dated. The bathroom is very small but functional, however it... More

Stayed 4 nights with leger battlefields tour, the hotel was being updated and it needed it.the rooms were small and didn't give any illusion of luxury, but the meals were good the staff helpful and the tour was full on and we think sleeping would 'nt be hard anywhere .The tour was excellent .

Stayed at the Carline on a Legers D Day Landings tour. Slightly apprehensive on reading other reports but found the Hotel acceptable. Tired in places needing decoration and new carpeting on stairs and 2nd floor corridor. Our bedroom on the 1st floor had been decorated and the bathroom upgraded but our friends on the 3rd floor had not-decoration was bizarre... More
