Perfect location for the railway station and car hire offices, and a reasonably easy walk into the centre of the town Basic, clean and great value at £35.00 for one night. The treble rooms are a double with a bunk owner the headboard, so beware if there are three adults and I would ask for a room at the back,... More

Perfectly located if you arrive late in Town and do not want to spend energy after your trip. My room was Clean, breakfast is very standard (toasts, butter, marmelade, nutella, milk, coffee etc) and the staff was nice so can't complain for the night i spent there.

We stayed here for one night whist visiting the WW2 sites and beaches. Basic, clean room with a comfortable double bed but could have done with better pillows - they were extremely flat! Bathroom was a sealed plastic cubicle (similar to one on a ferry) without a curtain or shower door which meant it got very wet! There was no... More

We caught the 'Brittany Ferries' ferry from Portsmouth to Caen and decided to stay overnight here before our onward train journey to the South of France the next morning. If you are working to a tight budget, this is the place to stay. Accomodation was clean warm and comfortable and cost 64.50 euros for the night plus two breakfasts. Nice... More

Tiny rooms. Basic beds. Minuscule shower room. Clean Polite, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast OK but get there early. Two nearby bars are good value. Very handy for the station and the bus/tram interchange. No nearby long term parking. Free wifi was a considerable and unexpected bonus.

Basic ibis budget Well designed room but compact and cheap Very small plastic toilet and shower 45 euros is a good price Opposite the train station and 20 minutes walk to centre Wifi free and works fine But Everything is basic and cheap Towers very cheap Worse of all is breakfast - for €6.15 You only get coffee and butter... The hotel was clean and across from the train station. However, it is not a place I would recommend to stay for multiple days. You are a 20 minute walk away from the city center. If you need to grab a train the next day, this place is perfect. The staff were helpful, though not frequently at the desk.

This hotel is very clean and a good size bed and room. The location is terrible. It is right across the road from the station and at night there are always groups of young men loitering around the door. I was a little worried to return at night. The whole area was really ugly and undesirable. Stay away.

Hotel was as expected for an Ibis Budget, clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and it is situated in a very convenient area for a variety of restaurants. Although there is no dedicated parking the paying spaces outside, which are used for the station, are free after 6.30pm until the next morning.

Back again and much the same. The staff are polite and helpful when needed. Basically the hotel does what is says on the tin. I stayed for three nights and the room (323) was comfortable with an excellent shower/toilet room. Free wifi and room cleaned and tidied every day around 11.00. No breakfast taken as ate in town. Very little... More
