The hotel was comfortable and well located. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were of a good standard. WiFi worked well (although needed reconnection every hour). Breakfast was ok typical of most french establishments. Would recommend to others as a place to stay.

This hotel is handy for the castle, the university district, the restaurant area, the Sunday market and the station. It was a very good base for exploring Caen on foot. The staff were lovely. The only problem we had - a small one - was dealt with immediately and very satisfactorily. Although there is a bar across the road the... More

Not bad, but a little noisy outside. We stayed here at the end of June and there was no air con, so the biggest problem was being unable to cool the room down enough to sleep. The en-suite shower bathroom is small but clean and powerful. The staff were helpful and they allowed me to park my motorbike in their... More

I booked this hotel online after researching lots of places and was very pleased. We arrived after 7:00pm tired and hungry after a LONG day of travel. The young man at the front desk was understanding of my horrible French and he was very helpful in guiding us to find dinner. (most difficult because it was Sunday night and most... More

We stayed two nights in the hotel while visiting Caen and it was an excellent experience. First, it is an easy walk from the train station (we each had a rolling suitcase and an over the shoulder bag). It is just a block off a main street, so public transport would be convenient for those who need it (we tend... More

We stayed one night on our week in France. The young lady at the desk was more than helpful and her cheery disposition made us comfortable right away. The hotel was like going back in time a little. Very authentic, reminded us of staying in a family owned place rather than a chain hotel. The room was small, but very... More

Rooms were small but clean. Our bathroom was very small and basic but provided what we needed. Breakfast had all that was required. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located within 10 minutes walking distance to shopping area and restaurants one way and 10 minutes to the railway station the other way. WiFi in rooms with electrical outlets close... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on a week long tour of Normandy and Brittany. The main reason for stopping here was to visit the D-Day beaches and Bayeux tapestry and I'm so glad we did. Nice comfortable bed, clean room and nice bathroom. During the day, if you are using the car, you can park outside for up to... More

Modern hotel situated just north of the canal, close to railway station and 12 minutes walk to the castle (or by tram in neighbouring street). Large gated parking to the rear. Some closed garages for €10 per day (reserve in advance if possible). Rather small but spotless bedroom. Surprisingly roomy bathroom with twin washbasin & separate WC. Excellent buffet breakfast...
