We received a very warm welcome when we arrived at the hotel. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the reception team were fantastic and very approachable. We received great recommendations on where to eat and what to see. It was also a pleasure to talk to Cedric, who didn't mind at all when my husband (who speaks French) had a... More

It's a good hotel as per Ibis standard in the center of Caen; not so easy to be found, but it may be my fault that I still not use a GPS :-) And also Caen is a nice city that it worth a visit. I hadn't breakfast in the hotel since I didn't want to eat a lot, but... More

The hotel room was really small with no air conditioning. We had to move a table in order to open the window as it was very stuffy in the room. When we arrived there was dirty linen on the bed which was changed when we complained. What passed as a wardrobe was just a rail with no door. There were... More

I have to admit that I don't like staying in Ibis Hotels and this proves my misgivings. It is perhaps one of the worstIbis hotels in Europe. The room was very cramped as someone noted before me and the double bed was squeezed into a single bed space. The toilet leaked all night. The carpet looked a bit too risky... More

Six of us stayed overnight, hard to find but did have parking underneath. Room was hot and did not have tea or coffee facilities in the rooms, surely a basic for any hotel. Good location in the centre of the city. Avoid the breakfast, €9 and they did not have any eggs.

Nice hotel. A bit tricky to find but got there in the end. Very central location within easy walking distant of lots of bars and restaurants. Room was nice and good quality with a good amount of space to put all of our stuff from the cycling trip we were doing. The breakfast was nice as well with plenty to... More

The hotel is in a good, central location in a quiet street and has its own car park. The room was small offering standard Ibis comfort. The breakfast was good with local rice pudding and pancakes. Staff members were helpful and the hotel generally well maintained. The overall design of the building is not particularly attractive and the hotel has... More

Thankfully we had only booked for one night. We regularly travel through France and use the Ibis hotels, but this was the worst one we have stayed in. As the previous reviewer has stated it made Premiere Classe look like the Hilton! The room was very small, hot, scruffy decor, curtains not totally on the rail, badly stained carpet. The... More

We booked this hotel for a 3 night stay so we could take my elderly father to the D-Day sites and memorials and felt that Caen centre would be a good base. The hotel seemed reasonable on the website but a trifle expensive (as were most hotels in Caen). However we booked it for the location. On arrival the staff... More
