Excellent location in central Caen. All round good hotel; nothing special but perfectly located. Friendly staff, nice breakfast and reasonable room. Great choice if access to Caen is your driving factor.

As part of the Mercure chain, the hotel meets all the basic requirements. Bedroom was comfortable if a bit 'tired' and for around £100 a night would have expected more than paper mugs in which to drink tea and coffee (of which a meagre selection). Excellent position with easy access to transport. Nice view of the boats/ quayside outside the hotel. good central position for the Sunday market good links to Quistreham ferry port to Portsmouth. Easy walking distance to historic sites old town & resturants.

I recently stayed here on business. The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Caen. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was very nice. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed on a Friday night in March, found it easy enough but parking proved problematic. Ended up parking on the street which was metered daytime. Foyer was clean and the staff were very welcoming. We had our dog with us and he was also welcomed. But on entering the lift it was clear that the hotel was somewhat shabby.... More

I have stayed here on 2 seperate occasions and I really enjoyed both visits. The bedrooms, especially on the corner at the front of the hotel, are spacious and the beds are really comfortable. Nice 4 star hotel. Close to the city centre and fine restaurants. Watch out the parking garage is badly sign posted! Breakfast has a great variety and the reason for our stay was the medieval pinnacle Mont St Michel an hours drive!
