We found out about this little hotel by chance on the Bayeux tourism website. The owners speak only French, so it pays to learn a little before calling or e-mailing. At 32 euro a night, it's a steal. The rooms are simple, with a bed, TV, desk and sink, but the shower and toilets are right down the hall. It's an older building--we had a bit of a run-in with a defunct door handle in our room--but both the owner and his wife are sweet and hospitable and made us feel right at home. Plus it's directly across the street from the Bayeux cathedral, and centrally located right near the center of town.
