The gracious hospitality of our hosts, Carole and Jerome Mallett enhanced the experience of our stay in a B&B. We were travelling with our 13 year old grandson and the spacious room was much appreciated as was the "common" room. My family spent two nights at this beautiful bed and breakfast and enjoyed every minute. The house itself is wonderful and the rooms are spacious. The common sitting room is very large and well stocked with teas, coffees and other snacks. This was a very special place. It was charming, beautiful, and comfortable, inside and out. We stayed in Elegance, a large room with windows looking out to the inviting garden in the back yard. Clos de Bellefontaine is a beautiful family home with the benefit of a separate wing for the B&B guests. Carole is charming, helpful and friendly and manages to juggle running a family of four children with keeping her beautiful house and B&B in great condition. We loved our stay. We spent 3 nights in Bayeux over Thanksgiving 2008 to tour the Normandy WW2 sights and to see the Bayeux Tapestry. Carole's directions were easy to follow, and the home has a gated drive with secure parking. We were in the "Room Elegance". This is a very large room with plenty of space to spread out.... more
