This was my second stay at Hotel Tardif...and I was not disappointed! It is a lovely home with windows onto a large garden. At breakfast Anthony served the best croissants I have ever had in France! He is always eager to make our stay very special, and made reservations for a wonderful restaurant for dinner as well as a special... More

Our story: we got engaged in Paris on the evening of the terrorist attacks while sitting on a terrace that overlooked the Eiffel Tower. Yes, it's true. That's why we left Paris afterwards for a couple of days in safer Normandy, staying at the Noble Guesthouse. One hour before we arrived, we contacted the owner, who arranged for flowers to... More

We stayed here for two nights on our way back from a stay in the Loire Valley. Initially a little difficult to find, you drive straight into the gardens and park in any space you can find amongst the warren of driveways under the trees. We were greeted by the owner and she kindly checked us into their Junior Suite... More

The Hotel Tardif was perfect for our visit to Bayeux. We loved the ambiance, the location and the hospitality. The rooms were cosy and elegant, and our morning breakfast was a nice start to our day. Anthony was an excellent host, offering advice, suggestions and historical facts about the area. We would suggest this hotel to our friends and will... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a walk out room, which was amazing for sitting and drinking cider in the heat. The grounds are really amazing to sit back and enjoy. Anthony was very helpful with any concerns and didnt mind setting up breakfast outside if we wanted to sit out front.

We think Le Tardif, in a sylvan town-centre location, a short walking distance to the sights and restaurants of Bayeux is a gem that gives "table d'hôte" a new meaning. Our comfortable room, nicely furnished with antiques with a good sized bathroom opened to the garden and breakfast around the communal table was excellent and convivial. As others have written,... We could not have found a better arrangement for our stay in Normandy. Le Tardif is spacious and clean and Anthony is very helpful and accommodating. Location is near many historically significant sites and many wonderful restaurants. When we schedule a return visit we will stay at Le Tardif.

Four of us planned our trip about a year in advance. We contacted people who had gone before us and came up with Hotel Tardif. We can't say enough about our experience and the accommodations. Anthony was very, very hands-on and informative, not only about our rooms and what we could expect but about the history of the building upon... More

A wonderful guesthouse in the perfect location for a visit to Normandy. It is between the cathedral and the museum which houses the Bayeux Tapestry. There are numerous restaurants nearby. Parking is free on the beautiful grounds. Our room was large and opened onto the beautiful garden. Breakfast was served in the dining room around the large dining table. Wonderful... More

This is in a very good location. 3* guesthouse. It was hard getting suitcases upstairs. When we arrived, we were greeted by someone who could not speak English; which was frustrating. She was trying to tell us about checking in, parking etc. and we couldn't understand a word she was saying. We went down to early for breakfast along with... More

Dear Sue-Travels, Thank you for taking the time of sharing your experience at our family property. To be fair i would like to add some elements that you forgot to mention. Check in is from 2.00pm to 8.00pm. You arrived way before 2.00pm even if you had originally informed us of an arrival by 4.00pm when you confirmed your reservation... More
