From the modest street side entrance you would not expect this B&B to be the beautiful home that it is. Our rooms were spotless and restful and breakfast was more than a guest could reasonably expect. We had bread, wine and cheese out in the garden and even had a visit from a local baby hedgehog. We walked to the... More

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. Pascal was very friendly and helpful, rooms spacious and high quality. Excellent bed and bathroom, very convenient location close to town. Pascal had maps and brochures for us to use and suggestions of where to go. Would definitely recommend.

Forget all of your pre-conceptions of "Bed & Breakfast." Le Petit Matin is a stunning property with a beautiful garden and an ideal location for exploring the town of Bayeux and the famous D Day beaches. It combines 5 star quality with the intimacy of a private residence. But what really sets it apart is the owner Pascal. His attention... More

Le Petit Matin was a fantastic place to stay, nice comfortable room, great location to visit D-Day sites and the breakfast was over the top. Also, it was located close all of the attractions Bayeux offered. I would highly recommend it.

We have traveled in Europe and the UK in recent years and of all the B&Bs we have stayed in, this is by far our favourite. We spent four nights here and I wish we could have stayed longer. The house is simply incredible. The decor was lovely and the location was great. The breakfasts were delicious. Pascal was a... More

We spent two nights at Le Petite Matin and all I can say is I wish we could have spent our entire holiday with Pascal at Le Petite Matin! Beautiful location, phenomenal decor, rooms are incredibly comfortable, the breakfast rooms to die for! The B&B almost makes you never want to leave and sight see! I would never hesitate to... More

We spent 3 nights in the Sea Shore room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our host was punctual, courteous and went above and beyond in making sure we were aware of the train schedule during the train strike. The house is beautiful and well appointed. Breakfast each morning was delicious. The only drawback to receiving 5 stars was the slowness... More

The only negative thing about our stay at Le Petit Matin is that it wasn't longer! We only stayed for one night before our D-Day tour the next day and then left to head back to Paris. So we have decided we'll have to go back. Pascal was a delightful host. The home is beautiful and on a quiet street... More

We stayed here for a few nights and loved the place. It has a decent size rear yard with a patio, The location is adjacent to a park and the road is not heavily travelled so road noises were not that bad. The breakfast was nice- typical continental breakfast with yogurt, bread (of course), coffee or tea, cheeses and fruit.... More

We stayed at Le Petit Matin for one night and it exceeded our expectations. Pascal was a wonderful host who was accommodating and friendly. We stayed in the Bord de Mer (Seashore Room), which was large, comfortable, nicely decorated, and had a large bathroom with a changing room. Street parking is ample and its location next to a park meant... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our House This is the second adventure for our Bed and Breakfast ‘Le Petit Matin’ in this beautiful town of Bayeux. Originally located on ‘rue Quincangrogne’ for 8 years, we decided to move to our new home that offers more spacious and comfortable guest rooms. Located in the heart of the historic town of Bayeux, on the ‘Place Charles de Gaulle’ planted with 150 lime trees and classified a ‘Natural Monument’ in 1932, ‘Le Petit Matin’ welcomes you warmly. For us, morning is an important time of the day (hence the name of our bed and breakfast!), too often sacrificed. We therefore wanted to ensure our guests experienced a truly memorable moment, full of tranquillity and authenticity, around a hearty breakfast in the beautiful and completely renovated building dating back to the late 17th and 18th centuries. The house is located next to the old Bayeux porcelain factory which has been run by three successive families (Langlois, Gosse and Morlent). We offer four guest rooms; each carefully decorated and personalized on the 1st floor of our house. We have attached particular importance to comfort, decoration and to our garden. ... more   less
