My wife and I stayed two nights in early May 2014 at this marvelous location and enjoyed everything about it. The many glowing recommendations given by other guests are absolutely true. We found nothing to criticize. Our hosts were most helpful and gracious. As others have said, it is perfectly located to visit Bayeux, the Normandy beaches, the tapestry museum,... More

Just spent two days here touring D-Day beaches and watching the SuperMoon rise over Place DeGaulle. This is a beautiful bed-and-breakfast, with big, clean, antique-filled rooms, a lovely garden and delicious food (lunch basket on request) served in a stunning dining room. French style and hospitality at its very best.

We are two couples which already had the pleasure to stay in Bayeux in 2009, guests of Pascal and Antoine in their previous location (a tower of 15th century). They transferred in this very nice building of 18th century, facing on Place De Gaulle. What to say? This new experience has been simply fantastic. The atmosphere you meet in the... More

The very beautiful Le Petit Matin has two wonderful hosts, Pascal and Antoine. I so much enjoyed meeting them! The lovely room, gracious hospitality and ideal location have ensured that I will certainly return in the near future. The copious and delicious breakfasts were splendid as well. I had a great time relaxing amongst the bonsai and beautiful flowers of... More

From the modest street side entrance you would not expect this B&B to be the beautiful home that it is. Our rooms were spotless and restful and breakfast was more than a guest could reasonably expect. We had bread, wine and cheese out in the garden and even had a visit from a local baby hedgehog. We walked to the... More

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. Pascal was very friendly and helpful, rooms spacious and high quality. Excellent bed and bathroom, very convenient location close to town. Pascal had maps and brochures for us to use and suggestions of where to go. Would definitely recommend.

Forget all of your pre-conceptions of "Bed & Breakfast." Le Petit Matin is a stunning property with a beautiful garden and an ideal location for exploring the town of Bayeux and the famous D Day beaches. It combines 5 star quality with the intimacy of a private residence. But what really sets it apart is the owner Pascal. His attention... More

Le Petit Matin was a fantastic place to stay, nice comfortable room, great location to visit D-Day sites and the breakfast was over the top. Also, it was located close all of the attractions Bayeux offered. I would highly recommend it.

We have traveled in Europe and the UK in recent years and of all the B&Bs we have stayed in, this is by far our favourite. We spent four nights here and I wish we could have stayed longer. The house is simply incredible. The decor was lovely and the location was great. The breakfasts were delicious. Pascal was a... More

We spent two nights at Le Petite Matin and all I can say is I wish we could have spent our entire holiday with Pascal at Le Petite Matin! Beautiful location, phenomenal decor, rooms are incredibly comfortable, the breakfast rooms to die for! The B&B almost makes you never want to leave and sight see! I would never hesitate to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our House This is the second adventure for our Bed and Breakfast ‘Le Petit Matin’ in this beautiful town of Bayeux. Originally located on ‘rue Quincangrogne’ for 8 years, we decided to move to our new home that offers more spacious and comfortable guest rooms. Located in the heart of the historic town of Bayeux, on the ‘Place Charles de Gaulle’ planted with 150 lime trees and classified a ‘Natural Monument’ in 1932, ‘Le Petit Matin’ welcomes you warmly. For us, morning is an important time of the day (hence the name of our bed and breakfast!), too often sacrificed. We therefore wanted to ensure our guests experienced a truly memorable moment, full of tranquillity and authenticity, around a hearty breakfast in the beautiful and completely renovated building dating back to the late 17th and 18th centuries. The house is located next to the old Bayeux porcelain factory which has been run by three successive families (Langlois, Gosse and Morlent). We offer four guest rooms; each carefully decorated and personalized on the 1st floor of our house. We have attached particular importance to comfort, decoration and to our garden. ... more   less
