We stayed here for a week to visit the Normandy beach landing sites. It us very well placed for them and very close to the Caen ferry port. We were in a tent, very close to the tennis court. I thought the whole place was beautiful. The grounds are very well kept. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It... More

Unfortunately the expensive price we paid did not reflect the poor quality of facilities and the cleanliness of the toilet block and we would not return.. When complaining and asking for the block to be cleaned they shrugged. You would expect the shop to be open well before 9 am for bread but this was not the case.

We stayed on this site to visit the Normandy beaches and museums and it is well placed for that. However the site as a whole was disappointing. our pitch (100) was very uneven and not really big enough for our caravan. the pitches were also very close together which meant neighbours tended to park cars partly on our pitch. The... More

Break up a drive south or like us, stay here and explore. 30 mins from everything historical, museums, beaches, culture. Lovely & reasonably priced restaurant on site. Great wine, recommend 'dish of the day' also homemade burgers, amazing pizza & very welcoming staff. Never once had to queue for a shower & the shop has everything. Charming place. Hate going... We found this site to be an excellent base for visiting all the D-Day beaches , Caen and Bayeux due to its central location, the site itself is in wonderful surroundings and is well kept, the pitches are scattered around the grounds of the Chateau and are spacious enough for the majority of caravans, motorhomes and tents. There is a... More

We have been on this site for a few days now, leaving tomorrow. It is a lovely quiet, very picturesque, site. The entrance into the chateau is very charming. The pitches are adequate although electricity points really need to be better thought out as there has been a lack of them a few times with some cables coming over the... More

The tourers' field is a very attractive place but there's little else that this campsite can offer, with below average facilities. The shop, though, is very good and the staff speak good English. Being near England, this campsite sadly seems to attract a lot of unpleasant Brits who were very rude during our stay.

We stayed here for three nights in July and were given pitch ten which was level and very close to all the amenities the shop was very good and you could get local produce which was very reasonably priced the pool was down the end of a massive walled garden beyond a square ornamental pond that you could fish in... Place, surroundings, facilities, showers and the pool all great. Reasonable sized pitches too, and a little shop for fesh bread and croissants in the morning. Would stay again, and would recommend to others. Not too far from Bayeaux either which is a bonus. There are also apartments within the chateau itself to rent too.
