The tourers' field is a very attractive place but there's little else that this campsite can offer, with below average facilities. The shop, though, is very good and the staff speak good English. Being near England, this campsite sadly seems to attract a lot of unpleasant Brits who were very rude during our stay.

We stayed here for three nights in July and were given pitch ten which was level and very close to all the amenities the shop was very good and you could get local produce which was very reasonably priced the pool was down the end of a massive walled garden beyond a square ornamental pond that you could fish in... Place, surroundings, facilities, showers and the pool all great. Reasonable sized pitches too, and a little shop for fesh bread and croissants in the morning. Would stay again, and would recommend to others. Not too far from Bayeaux either which is a bonus. There are also apartments within the chateau itself to rent too.

We booked a last minute camping holiday to Normandy at this site based on it's close proximity to the D-Day beaches and museums. We arrived late so were advised to pitch near the offices for one night, and moved to our reserved pitch the next morning, which was the most idyllic and peaceful pitch we've ever had. The facilities are... More

We stayed here on our last leg of Spain and France tour for 3 nights. Our pitch number 79 was near to the football and games area. I would agree with others that the goals are badly placed! Every 2 minutes our van, tent or bbq was hit by the football, this meant the kids were constantly over saying sorry... More

We stayed with our campervan for 3 nights in early July as part of a much longer stay. We booked ahead and based on feedback on another review site we asked for a pitch in one of the orchard areas and not on the driveway. When we arrived we were told that our allocated pitch was on the driveway. Not... More

Just got back - lovely campsite, very friendly, with great facilities. We stayed in one of the posh tents - wooden structures with canvas roof, complete with proper beds, fridge and hob - so not really roughing it! site. Site is huge with lots of space to play games, football pitch, tennis courts, pool etc with books and games to... More

Although the site was in a very good position for touring around the area we feel that the Football/games area was in the wrong area, as we had to endure a very noisy football game each evening from about 7pm - in excess of 11pm, after the game had finished unfortunately the noise shouting continued on a couple of occasions... I am a little confused at the comments below my review. Some people really will find anything to complain about. How can you really fault such a beautiful premise? I mean camping is, exactly that "camping" not a 5 star hotel right? Having said that, this ground has been awarded 4 stars, and you will see why if you decide... More

Stayed here for second time very disappointed we were asked to choose our own site only ones left on approach avenue massive but felt like departure lounge people pull on and off all day as they use these pitches once they have packed up ....lack of concern for anyone site shouldn't allow....if you staying here make sure you get a...
