The Campanile is ideal for a budget traveller or for a large group concious of cost. The check in went well as we arrived around 8:00 pm. The rooms are extremely small, with very little room for luggage. The rooms were very clean, the showers worked well and the rooms were very secure and quiet. The beds were comfortable and... More

We stayed here 20 years ago and it was good to come back. Though Campaniles are not luxurious they do what they say on the tin. Good value, accessible, clean, comfortable with added extras like good parking and free wifi, just what the modern traveller needs. In our room the bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and the shower had... More

We have enjoyed this place for the past two summers, staying 3 nights each time. The rooms are small and simply furnished, but clean and in quiet surroundings. All staff members were friendly and very helpful, switching to the English language the minute they realized we were not well versed in French. On both visits, we were given a room... More

A very warm welcome which put us immediately at ease. Our room was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed.The evening meal ( 3 course) and breakfast was possibly the best we have eaten in any Campanile and believe me we have stayed at many.

The hotel is good value for the price paid. The room was compact but comfortable with everything that we needed. The onsite restaurant is convenient if after a long day touring we didn't want to venture out. It is a short walk into the center of Bayeux and easy to find and access with a car (including parking). We found... More

The hotel is easy to find by reference to main roads, yet there was no particular traffic noise at night. The rooms are fairly compact but clean, comfortable and with everything you need. The staff are lovely, they let us check in an hour early and were very helpful, even when we were struggling with the French language. It's also... More

My second trip to Bayeux. This time stayed outside of town where you get a better value on lodging. This is only beneficial if you have a car to drive into Bayeux. It's a little far to walk. The rooms are clean, quiet, bathrooms have plenty of room. Breakfast is E7,50 and was worth it. Staff is friendly and speak... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2014 via mobile

This October we stayed at four different hotels over four nights as we toured the battlefields. This was our last overnight stay and it was the one I had the least expectations of. It was the cheapest by far - much cheaper even than the other two Campaniles we had already stayed in, which were fine but basic and we... More

I stayed here with a family member earlier this month. We were driving to Cherbourg from the deep south. The view from the room was excellent - cows grazing with Bayeux Cathedral in the background. The room was comfortable and there was no noise during the night.

We booked an overnight stay based on positive reviews on Trip advisor. Our initial impressions from the outside were disappointing - shabby and unwelcoming, but it just got worse once we were inside. The double bed was spacious, but the childs bed took up the remaining space in the room. We had to push it back and forward to open... More
