As other reviewers have pointed out, it is on the ring road but is in handy walking distance of the main attractions. We weren't expecting much from this chain motel, but we were pleasantly surprised to have a beautiful view of the Bayeux cathedral and a good buffet breakfast. We had rented a car, so the distance from town wasn't an issue for us, and it was very easy to get to all the Bayeux sights and the D-Day beaches. more

Located along the outer ring road circling Bayeux, the Campanile Bayeux is part of the Campanile chain of motels. We stayed here after coming off the boat from Cherbourg. We had a great stay. It was ideal as they provided a cot for the baby and put us in the ground floor. Nice neat place about a km south of town. Our room looked out on a pasture with cows almost at our front door and a view of the cathedral. Room was clean and decent sized. A bit noisy from upstairs ( non-carpeted floor). Close to Normandy beaches. more

The Campanile is extremely easy to find being located just off one of the main roads in/out of Bayeux. It is set back from the road so does not suffer from traffic noise. A very good hotel, in a very good location at a very good price! This hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station, as well as a 10 minute walk into town. It's in a very easy to find location of the main road, so if you're looking for a good priced hotel that's central, choose this one.... more
