We went to Bayeux so that we could see Normandy and Mont St. Michel. We stayed at the Hotel Churchill in Room 112 for 2 nights. The room was rated as a superior room, it was adequate. We were in a room that was on the street and over the courtyard for the hotel. The lighted sign for the hotel... More

In June 2014, I traveled to Normandy, France to take my son to the 70th Anniversary of D-Day. My father landed in Normandy in 1944. I have traveled all over the world and Bayeux is one of my favorite places on Earth. Bayeux is a beautiful, little town very near to Omaha and all the D-Day beaches. The Churchill Hotel... More

We spent 3 nites...great location with many bars and restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable, but very basic...plastic cups were all that were available, but no big deal. Staff was always very helpful, friendly and constantly moving!

My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at Hotel Churchill during our tour of Normandy and the D-day sites. Our room was small (no surprise) but comfortable with a very nice bath. The front desk staff was extremely helpful with restaurant and tour information. They were very busy with several tour groups from America but they didn't hesitate with... More

I was traveling the last week of August as part of a tour group to the World Equestrian Games in Normandy and this was one of several hotels used by the trip organizer. I have been to Bayeux twice before but this was my first time at this hotel. I shared the room with another person, new to me at... More

...obviously unintentionally so before arrival...but it proved not only close to the center of city attractions...and a stone's throw away from the Tapestries...it also has a distinct air of character that brings one back to a by-gone age of black and white war films...fireplaces...creaky wooden stairs...dimly lit corridors...adventure. ...spent 2 nights enjoying the friendliest of staff...unforgettable Daniel and co...not to... My husband and I stayed here for two nights on a trip without our children. It was in a very central location, near to the museum and cathedral and right by all the shops and cafes. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and all spoke excellent English (we did try our best at French!) The room looked to have... More

I have stayed here two times, in 2011, traveling as two couples and again in summer 2014 with a group of 50 singers on a concert tour. The excellence of the staff and accommodations was improved, which didn't seem possible. It is a gem and centrally located. On the earlier trip we arrived independently by train from Paris with a... Family of 4: 2 rooms for 2 nights. Pricey rate but in line with local prices (we booked two months in advance). We found the hotel to be consistent with the Trip Advisor reviews we read. Proved to be an excellent place to stay. Central to everything and in walking distance of local attractions, restaurants and shops. Clean and in... More

I stayed at this charming, elegant Hotel for 3 nights. Our tour was to the Normandy Beaches (in itself a moving experience) however the history of Bayeux is so extraordinary and the Tapestries so accessible...a short walk, it was wonderful. To the left a whole shopping area. Wine, Camembert, French Bread:- Great Lunch or Dinner. Rooms are small (like all... More
