4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed one night on side trip from Paris. The hotel is very centralized in location. Stepping out the back alley we found ourselves in the middle of a street flea market selling fruits, leathers, fish, clothes and all sorts off French countryside goods. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast nothing to rave about but was best coffee in... More

This is a small well run hotel in the heart of Bayeux. Our room was small but average for European hotels, especially those in historic buildings. The bathroom had a small round enclosed shower that resembled a space capsule. The staff was helpful with baggage, as there is no lift. The staff was friendly and informative regarding how to see... We just finished a 4 night stay at this charming hotel. It is like going back in time, with a modern bath. The memorabilia throughout the hotel provides a museum like quality to the experience. Each room is unique, ours was very large, but others may not be. Loved the big room key that you hang up when you leave the... More

Went to Normandy with six other middle aged "lads" for a weekend exploring the D-Day landings. Bayeux is very well placed for all beaches etc. Also a lovely little town with plenty of bars, restaurants etc. Hotel Churchill is on main street, in centre, so very convenient for beering, wining and dining. Hotel very clean, friendly and efficient, lovely staff,... More

Visiting Normandy win a group of 36 to visit the beaches etc.The hotel situated in the middle of this quiet town is a good 3 star location and packed with DDay memorabilia. It doesn't pretend to be an international hotel group member but Daniel and his team could not be more helpful. The hotel has undergone refurbishment to air con... More

The young desk clerk alone was worth the stay, speaking English and being so willing to help by even walking us around the corner to our restaurant. Cool little place with liberation photos on all the walls, the Hotel Churchill was a fine choice recommended by Rick Steves. We'd stay win for sure.

The Churchill Hotel is the perfect place to stay to enrich your Bayeux and Normandy experience. Located in the city centre near shopping, restaurants, and landmarks, this hotel offers you charm, personable service, along with a touch of history and days gone by. The hotel staff is caring and responsive, with strong English speaking skills. One of the hotel staff... More

Very nice hotel, comfortable beds, clean, spacious bathrooms, quiet part of town. The staff was very helpful with advice as to eating locations and parking--we came on Sunday and left early Monday so parking was free. Wonderful photos on the hall walls throughout the hotel dealing with D-Day and the American Army .

We stayed here 2 nights at the end of April 2015 and we LOVED IT! Having overcome some initial confusion of my partner and I not finding each other at the train station, we finally connected here at the hotel into the welcoming arms of Eric (the owner) and Miss Wonderful Agathe who was at the desk. Staying at the... More

The Churchill Hotel had a welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Our French was limited so their help was especially appreciated. Our room was comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom. We had closet space and good natural light. The breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect for exploring the medieval and WWII sights. There were several wonderful restaurants nearby which...
