We enjoyed our 3 night Churchhill experience very much. Why? We travel light and for us, it was an easy walk from the train station. After reading many reviews, when we booked we chose a deluxe room and had a lovely view of the cathedral. Breakfast was everything we like: chocolate croissants, cold cuts on warm baguettes, hard boiled eggs,... More

Finally made it to Normandy for WW II tour and Bayeux was our departure town. This hotel was fine for the one night we were here. Able to walk to restaurants, need taxi for the train station. Pleasant place, plan on somewhere else for breakfast.

We have stayed here on a couple of our visits to Bayeux. The location is very convenient to everything in Bayeux and across the street from the visitors center. The hotel is very nice and the staff are very helpful. We especially enjoy the WWII memorabilia and photos on the walls. The shuttle to Mt St Michel was also great... More

We stayed here during a trip to Normandy. It was a pleasant hotel. The deluxe room we had was much larger than the other European hotels we stayed at and it had a large bed as well. The staff was courteous and had great suggestions for dining. The continental breakfast had fruits, cheeses, oatmeal, coffee, and juice and is added... More

Location is the prime reason to stay here. One can walk to museums, the British/Commonwealth cemetery, the Bayeux Tapestry (you could low-crawl it's so close) and numerous restaurants. But, it's an old historically recognized property that probably looks like it did 60 years ago. Everything works fine, Eric at the front desk was great, it's clean as a whistle, the... More

Perfect location to see the town, great base to get to the Normandy beaches. close to the Tapestry and easy walk to the church. Room was small but bathroom was fine. Safe in the closet and good breakfast area made this a good choice. Don't expect more than you are paying for and you will be pleased.

We traveled to the Normandy area late October and picked the Churchill based on Tripadvisor reviews. It's a 3 star hotel and was better than I expected. We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. There was a small room upon entering with one twin bed and a separate room with a queen and another twin. The... More

We arrived at this hotel in the middle of a family crisis. We had been on a European family trip with my elderly parents and my children. Unfortunately, my father was injured and ended up in the hospital in Bayeux - which was not on our itinerary - therefore we had no accommodations at all in Bayeux. And we arrived... More

This hotel is perfectly situated on a fun street filled with shops and restaurants. You are just blocks from the magnificent Cathedral, the Tapestry, and the historic walking tour. The town is beautiful and in the middle of all the D-Day sites and near Mont St Michel and other beautiful Normandy towns. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we... More
