After arriving in Paris and all that chaos, it was great to board our train to Normandy and Bayeaux and find this quiet, little gem. Beautiful gravel driveway to chateau entry. We stayed 2 nights. We had a king room, with our own bathroom that was clean, modern and spacious. The room had 2 huge windows which was perfect since... More

My wife and i stayed at the hotel for two nights in a very large room with separate toilet and bathroom and 12 foot high ceilings. A most enjoyable stay with friendly owners and staff. The gardens are spacious with a stream through the middle. Swans and ducks are plentiful. Breakfast is good and the dining room serves tasty and... More

First of all, Bayeux itself is a beautiful place, bigger than a "town", but not a big city either. Bellefontaine is within walking distance of town, but totally secluded. The chateau's grounds are terrific, complete with a pond and a bevy of swans and ducks. Quiet, serene, with all the amenities. There are a number of good hotels in town,... More

We stayed here for one night in May, 2015 as part of a 3-week road trip through France. Unfortunately, we left Paris later than planned, spent too much time in Giverny and had a more involved dinner in Honfleur than we expected, so we arrived at the Chateau after midnight. It wasn't until the next morning we realized that part... More

Stayed there for 2 nights with 2 rooms. It is a lovely place, very quiet and pretty setting. The breakfast was good but felt overpriced. The Wi-Fi is unreliable and a hassle to use. We needed a room for 3 and it was set up when we arrived.

We stayed here while we visited the town of Bayeux and the Normandy beaches and cemeteries. This is a wonderful 250 year old chateau surrounded by a beautiful garden. A perfect setting for a visit to northern France. We were there with our 11 year old grandson and the room with the extra bed was spacious and delightful. If you... More

We just spend 2 weeks traveling through south France, this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Un kept grounds, dirty room with wall paper trying to cover a hole in a wall. while the staff say they only serve dinner, there was a table outside of the entrance with dirty dishes and empty wine bottles when we... The garden were lovely., even had 2 black swans in the pond. Food as far as Breakfast not my kind of food, but you could do with it. Afternoons after walking on tours were so comforting sitting in the main guest room by this huge fireplace that must be awesome in the Winter. Every afternoon the main Host would bring... More

We stayed two nights and had a terrific time. Building and grounds are a relaxing trip back in time. Small but adequate room with modern bath. Awesome service, casual drinks in garden, superb dinner. Short walk to Bayeux and easy drive to Normandy beaches and sites. Wonderful breakfast with attentive and friendly service. An awesome choice for a relaxing visit.

Great location, close enough to town to walk or drive within minutes, yet you feel like you are in the country. Grounds are beautiful and so peaceful, though the bugs were out when we were there so we didn't stay out much. Dinner was great, room was really spacious and quiet - we stayed in the main house as per... More
