€500+ for one night in the coach house, four breakfasts and four dinners, plus two pre dinner drinks which were modest and we had to wait for. The one member of staff was very helpful, but where was everyone else? Food was patchy - some excellent some awful. Breakfast was crowded, though the food was OK

Located on the outskirts of Bayeux, this is a very beautiful chateau. We arrived very late at night and were met politely by reception. It was very late so we felt bad about this but he made us very comfortable before leaving to get his sleep. the room, well it was room 4 and is actually two bedrooms, were big... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. Good points are the grounds (lots of green, quiet, space), the size of the room and the beds. There are also negatives: the bathroom was old, with very simple and worn out furniture, and the shower was a joke: you need to be a midget to have one. Other people must sit... More

We just returned from Bayeux and our stay here. Our room was spacious and clean, the breakfast had nice choices and the dinner ( and service ) was wonderful. I highly recommend Chateau de Bellefontaine. The only negatives are the lack of screens and the need to re- enter codes for wifi.

This was my second visit to this hotel. The grounds are simply lovely. There is a beautiful rose garden and delightful waterfowl on the river. The hotel even boasts a pair of black swans. We stayed in the "carriage house" outside of the main building. These small duplexes sleep four but there is no privacy so it may not be... More

After arriving in Paris and all that chaos, it was great to board our train to Normandy and Bayeaux and find this quiet, little gem. Beautiful gravel driveway to chateau entry. We stayed 2 nights. We had a king room, with our own bathroom that was clean, modern and spacious. The room had 2 huge windows which was perfect since... More

My wife and i stayed at the hotel for two nights in a very large room with separate toilet and bathroom and 12 foot high ceilings. A most enjoyable stay with friendly owners and staff. The gardens are spacious with a stream through the middle. Swans and ducks are plentiful. Breakfast is good and the dining room serves tasty and... More

First of all, Bayeux itself is a beautiful place, bigger than a "town", but not a big city either. Bellefontaine is within walking distance of town, but totally secluded. The chateau's grounds are terrific, complete with a pond and a bevy of swans and ducks. Quiet, serene, with all the amenities. There are a number of good hotels in town,... More

We stayed here for one night in May, 2015 as part of a 3-week road trip through France. Unfortunately, we left Paris later than planned, spent too much time in Giverny and had a more involved dinner in Honfleur than we expected, so we arrived at the Chateau after midnight. It wasn't until the next morning we realized that part... More

Stayed there for 2 nights with 2 rooms. It is a lovely place, very quiet and pretty setting. The breakfast was good but felt overpriced. The Wi-Fi is unreliable and a hassle to use. We needed a room for 3 and it was set up when we arrived.
