Very expensive for this 4 star place. The price was certainly not good value. Bathrooms dangerous, no shower curtains/screen, floor got flooded and very slippery to a danger point. Breakfast at 14 Euros per person was unbelievable, very poor selection, waiting for some milk for the coffee / tea took ages, milk for the cereal had also run out, stale... More

We were given room 11 on the top floor and the lift was broken! for our three night stay. Avoid it as it is an L-shaped attic room that is dark and split over two floors with just a sky light and two small window. It was hot and stuffy even in Sept - too much traffic noise from the... More

A lovely traditional building, complete with duck pond. The hotel is stylish and comfortable with period furniture and decor. We enjoyed dining in the small restaurant, despite some noisy visitors. Our room was in the annexe, very spacious and comfortable, but the WC was two floors down from the bedroom. Not good for us oldies! The location is very quiet,... More

This modest sized chateau hotel is well situated, just outside Bayeux, a 15 to 20 minute walk or easy drive from the centre. The peaceful grounds are delightful with well-spaced seating dotted about, a children's play area, and interesting waterfowl on the moat/lake and grass, - all very relaxing. The management ladies were most helpful and accommodating when we wished... More

Booked for 1 night but because the hotel, grounds, food and service was so good - stayed for two. We had intended to eat elsewhere on the Sunday evening (just for variety) but travellers beware, Bayeux is closed on a Sunday evening. Restaurant is silver service and our waiter was superb, while breakfast is served in a beautiful room overlooking... More

Just gorgeous hotel. Perfect location close to the center of Bayeux yet it felt like we were miles away in the countryside. The Chateau is lovely and the rooms very spacious and luxurious. My only regret...... I wish we would have had more time to stay longer! We will definitely go back.

Stayed for 3 nights so that we could see the Bayeux Tapestry, visit the Normandy beaches and see the D-day museum. The chateau is 250 years old and is an impressive building from the outside. The dining room and lounge are very comfortable and welcoming. Rooms obviously vary in size and outlook. Our room was of average size, but outlook... More

We stayed on the way back from a stay in Brittany with family as it was about half way and we stopped to visit the Normandy beaches. The hotel got good reviews and on the strength of the photo we booked. Upon arrival, you do get the wow factor with the proper chateaux vibe going on. You drive down a... More

This hotel isn't a smooth modern soul-less hotel and is all the better for it's quirks; it is typically French and we loved it. It's very convenient for exploring the area, either by car or on foot. It is a lovely building set in a beautiful parkland. The room we stayed in probably wasn't the best room; it was rather... More

We spent two nights at the Chateau on the fourth floor and just loved it! Sure the place is old and quaint and not a five star Hilton. No microwave or coffee machine nor a King size bed but it has personality, great people, wonderful grounds, good location and it makes you feel you really are at a Chateau in... More
