The property is very pretty and the location is nice if you don't want to be in the city...Agree with another reviewer that the hotel is old and tired. We had a big room but it was shabby, linens not great quality, and the bathroom very dated. The main rooms were very nice, however, and the breakfast was good. The... More

While the park-like setting and exterior of the buildings is truly beautiful, in hindsight I don't think this hotel was worth the price. We stayed in the second building, which includes 2-story, 2-bedroom, 1 bath rooms. Selected this property because we were a family of 5, and it did fit us with the rollaway bed they added to our room.... More

This place is old and tired - the photos are deceiving. While the public den and dining room are ok, the rooms are not very nice and the bathroom is scandalous. The bathroom is about 40 years overdue for an update. We had the 2 bedroom adjoining apartment in the second floor. We switched hotels after 1 night.

Beautiful property a 15 minute walk to the centre of Bayeux. Lovely grounds with a stream running through filled with ducks. Hard to believe we were so close to town. The rooms in the Chateau are spacious, high ceilings, newly renovated bathrooms. The breakfast room is very nice and a decent selection for a continental + breakfast. Staff were very... More

We chose a Quadruple suite, and we were happy with the lower floor (there were two small floors) but the upper floor was O-K. On the bottom floor the bed was nice, clean, modern and the toilets were too. The staircase up was quite wobbly, and we were often worried that they would collapse (they did not). The upper floor... We had hired cars for our six nights in France. We picked this hotel as it was the one we liked the most of what was available in Bayeux. We thought it was going to be far out but its actually only a short 15 minute walk to the centre of Bayeux. We ate in Bayeux every evening and then... More

The rooms are big and confortable, the garden is beautiful and the restaurant is a must! We had the menu and we felt like royalty. Great food The staff was not very friendly, from the very arrival we felt more like we were disturbing the tranquility of the place than being guests (and we are three regular people). This should... We went to this Chateau between visiting Paris and London. What a treat! We were staying here as a place to visit the beaches of Normandy. It was so charming and comfortable. We arrived in the early afternoon and after settling in our apartment we sat in a comfy spot in the front overlooking the beautiful moat filled with life... More

A beautiful setting but out of town thus limiting dining options unless you drive. Public areas (restaurant, bar) are attractive but a bit formal. Large and comfortable room (ours was in the main Chateau), large and comfortable bed, large and comfortable bathroom! Towels rather miserably thin. Didn't eat breakfast, which seemed quite expensive, and there are plenty of other options... More

While often visiting Bayeux we had not heard of this hotel until recently. However we are happy that our usual hotel was full and we found this delightful place. The location is lovely and although very close to the town it seems miles away. The lake and gardens make it very peaceful. The hotel is classic old French and well... More
