We stayed two nights and had a terrific time. Building and grounds are a relaxing trip back in time. Small but adequate room with modern bath. Awesome service, casual drinks in garden, superb dinner. Short walk to Bayeux and easy drive to Normandy beaches and sites. Wonderful breakfast with attentive and friendly service. An awesome choice for a relaxing visit.

Great location, close enough to town to walk or drive within minutes, yet you feel like you are in the country. Grounds are beautiful and so peaceful, though the bugs were out when we were there so we didn't stay out much. Dinner was great, room was really spacious and quiet - we stayed in the main house as per... More

We only stayed here because it was the last place available in Bayeux when we went. It is far away from downtown. The property is secluded and nice, could be better maintained (they need a gardener badly). The main chateau is nice and seems well kept with a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The "duplexes" are a barn that... More

This hotel is about 1.5Km out of town in a beautiful setting. The grounds are well maintained and everything was flowering when we went. The Tripadvisor reviews that we read recommended that we get a room in the main house an not the renovated barn, well, we did just that and were very disappointed in our room. It was tiny... More

We had two nights in this beautiful chateau. The room was very clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. However I was surprised that there was no tea and coffee making facilities, or water, in the room and the snacks and drinks available for purchase in the room were overpriced. That said, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would... More

I foolishly offered to organise a trip to the Landing Beaches for myself and several colleagues from around Europe. These are people who are used to a certain 'standard of accommodation'. Having booked Chateau de Bellefontaine, I spent the night there a few weeks before my colleagues were due to arrive. The welcome couldn't have been warmer and, although a... More

When we found the Chateau and drove down the lane, it took our breath away. The grounds are incredible! Our room had a view of the back yard and the meandering stream. Absolutely delightful. The swans and other water fowl, surrounded by roses in bloom was incredible. Highly recommend!

Recently visited on a tour of the area. A pleasant looking establishment and a warm welcome. Tidy enough room, but surprisingly lacking complimentary tea/coffee. Breakfast was also lacking, many items had run out and with an hour of service left, were not being replenished. We were not even offered a top up of tea/coffee. Service seemed to be missing. We... Driving up to the property we were impressed by the lovely grounds with swans and geese swimming in the pond and the stately chateau sitting in filtered sunlight. Our room while large, needed new carpeting and new towels. The bathroom was large, clean and the walk in shower was roomy. We had a restful sleep but made a mistake sleeping... More

Located in an old chateau, this is a beautiful hotel. The room and bath were gorgeous. Room service breakfast was perfect. The young ladies who worked there were sweet and delightful. However, the front staff women were less than friendly, and they could practice smiling. They don't welcome you...just ask how many nights, people, and beds, and hand you a... More
