This is our fourth visit to Hotel d'Argouges and certainly won't be the last. Every member of staff is so helpful and go above and beyond expectations. Tranquil setting and within easy walking for restaurants / The British Cemetary. Parking is secure (big bonus) and central to all the exploring we do. See you next year!

The exterior of the hotel is delightful. An old house entered through an archway from the street. Our room was less delightful. We asked for a ground floor room or easy access as my partner cannot manage stairs (though he did manage to into the hotel for breakfast). We were directed to a room in an annexe - Room 13... More

Before we book a hotel, we do extensive research to find great places at reasonable rates=--using TA extensively. We must have stayed in a different hotel than the other reviewers for this hotel. The outside, downstairs and garden area was beautiful and led us to great expectations and great promise when we walked in. Another plus was that the hotel... More

The hotel was charming - perfect for us. Great parking in a busy part of town. Room was excellent. Staff was very helpful. The hotel was located in a very desirable area of the town and captured the feel of the "old town" we enjoyed. We would recommend this hotel.

Excellent location and charming setting. Clean but old. New bathroom but no AC, a problem in summertime France. Great breakfast buffet, but overly expensive. A major plus if you driving is that there is extensive space for parking right on the grounds.

We stayed here as a base for visiting the d-day beaches. The hotel is an easy 15-minute walk from the Bayeux train station and close to plenty of restaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. Breakfast is very good, just be aware that it is not included in the price of the room. If you want... More

Revisited this hotel after staying there about 5 years ago, and it certainly lived up to the memories. It's a beautiful, elegant building located very centrally in Bayeux, so perfect for exploring the town. Private parking is very easy (unlike some hotels in this region, where it's a bit tight), rooms are comfortable and staff are very friendly. Was woken... More

I read about this hotel in my Rick Steves book. I did not want to stay where all the tour buses go. I had read a TA review about the lovely garden where one could enjoy breakfast. I booked online, the hotel staff was excellent about staying in touch to confirm reservations. We drove into Bayeux, I thought we were... More

Stayed here for one night but wished I stayed for longer. There is private parking, fantastic garden to the rear which was fantastic to unwind and relax. The members of staff were fantastic and there was a fantastic buffet breakfast in the morning.
