The rooms are relatively simple and vary in size. Bathrooms have all been modernized with great rain forest shower heads. Views of lovely garden are delightful. There is a nice reception area and outdoor garden with tables and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine. Staff couldn't be nicer. Gave us excellent dinner suggestions. A great place to stay if... More

.We originally thought Caen would be a good jumping off point for Normandy but Bayeux proved to be closer and more convenient. So we asked the desk at the Best Western in Caen if they had a hotel in their chain they could recommend in Bayeux and they didn't but offered to recommend one. They booked 2 nights for us... More

Spent a night there as we explored the DDay landing beaches and couldn't recommend it more highly. A charming old building, pre-revolutionary and all, blended into modern comfort, good food, delightful staff and even a couple of hotel dogs to make it more fun. Especially enjoyed the time spent in the outdoor patio garden taking in the atmosphere, sipping on... More

Hotel was beautiful, full of character, room was comfortable, quiet and nicely furnished with lovely modern bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location within a short walk of bars, restaurants Cathedral and the Bayeux Tapestry. Also well places for visiting the Normandy landing beaches and Museums.

This hotel was fine for the one evening we spent there. The outside is lovely, especially with the garden in the back that is furnished with beautiful flowers and small tables and chairs for your enjoyment. The room we stayed in was spacious enough and had an updated, modern bathroom, but basic furnishings. Our room did not have air-conditioning, but... More

This is a beautiful old boutique hotel. While we enjoyed our stay, there were a few issues. Our ground floor room had windows opening onto a courtyard that could not be securely closed, and when they were opened for ventilation, they allowed flies to enter the room. The bathroom was not very accommodating. The tub was equipped with a hand-held... More

Great location for touring Normandy area. We we're lucky to get the last room in this charming hotel. Lots of history and the decor showcases it. Lively staff and especially loved playing with the French bulldog named Guya. The gardens are lovely and you can enjoy wine and snacks outside. Very clean and the breakfast is included in price of... My husband, three children and I loved our stay in this lovely maison de maîtres, all the past decorum has been kept while our modern facilities (great bathrooms,Wifi in the bedrooms..) have been added to make our stay really confortable. We all enjoyed breakfast in one of the two dining rooms overlooking the garden. The food was plentiful and pleased every... More

We visited with 2 adults and 3 teens in July. Great location and a wonderful hotel with a friendly hotel dog and beautiful gardens. The breakfast (included) was excellent and the staff helpful in arranging taxis and tours. The two negatives: no air conditioning and limited wi-fi (only one device per room). Book well in advance as Rick Steves tour... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with my son on a cycling tour of the D-Day beaches. Excellent central location. Comfortable beds and great rain shower. Extensive continental breakfast. Staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. No restaurant for evening meal but many excellent restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Not an issue for us, but staircase to access reception... More
