I stayed here for 2 nights with my son on a cycling tour of the D-Day beaches. Excellent central location. Comfortable beds and great rain shower. Extensive continental breakfast. Staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. No restaurant for evening meal but many excellent restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Not an issue for us, but staircase to access reception... More

Fine old girl. The rooms have exposed beams and are decorated in a traditional (antique) fashion. The annex has its own small garden and the building is covered in climbing ivy. The breakfast was served in the main building with a garden/patio with seating available through the back doors. So very much what I imagined Europe would be. Nice start... More

This was the 1st hotel stay for on our trip to Europe. The hotel was very beautiful and memorable. The was no air conditioning, but you didn't need it because of the size of the windows and the constance cool breeze. The breakfast was the standard European standard; crescents , slices of lunch meat, cheese, yogurt, granola, boiled eggs, and... More

Hotel was extraordinary. Very nice old building, nice furniture, nice personnel. Parking possible. Very nice restaurant behind the corner. We would like to visit it again. It is located near city center, but in very quiet area. Center is in walking distance.

We litereally stumbled into this hotel last September after some inadvertant reservation issues elsewhere in Bayeux. It was a very fortunate discovery. This place is wonderful, charming, and very French. The staff was great, the breakfast was wonderful, the dining room was gorgeous. We loved it! We're returning to France this month and are probably not returning to Bayeux, but... More

We were looking for a good central location from which to visit the D-Day sights and were very pleasantly surprised by Bayeux and particularly by the wonderful Hotel d'Argouges. Our room was spacious and located in the back with a view of the beautiful garden so it was nice and quiet and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and... More

Although the rooms were warm (air conditioning is hard to come by in Bayeux), the quaintness of the hotel certainly made up for that. The courtyard in the back was a bonus, where we could order drinks and unwind after a day out and about. The aesthetic of the hotel and courtyard are picture perfect. The daily breakfast was also... The facade of the hotel is fabulous and the gardens are a lovely place to sit before heading into town. There's a huge old workshop for secure parking - excellent for motorcyclists as you know your bike will be safe AND dry (if it should rain). The hotel staff are extremely helpful and all speak excellent English. Our room was... More

Bayeaux is a lovely town, and this hotel matches. The front desk personnel could not have been more helpful. The gardens are a lovely place to unwind. I would recommend this hotel to singles and families. Although the rooms are not the best we have stayed at, I must say the experience was lovely. The breakfast rooms were well appointed,... More

Right in the middle of the town and with parking facilities. Our bedroom was very well furnished, with a good bed and bathroom facilities. Only downside for me were the stairs, our room was on the second floor. Hotel reception staff were very welcoming and efficient. This was the weekend of the medieval festival so was very busy. The breakfast... More
