We found this hotel when looking for a place in Bayeux a couple of weeks prior to our trip to Europe in September. We were extremely pleased with the location of the hotel. The rooms are not as large as those found in the US. That made it a little difficult to find room for our larger than normal size... More

We stayed in this hotel in mid-September for one night as a side trip from Paris to tour Normandy. We walked to the hotel from the train station and along the way saw the town, especailly the beautiful cathedral. The hotel is in a courtyard off the main shopping street and is a beautuful oasis. Check in is in the... More

We had a wonderful three night stay at the Hotel d'Argouges. Our room overlooked the back garden and was very quiet. The breakfast was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the availability of coffee or drinks in the late afternoon in the salon or on the back patio. Wonderful staff and attentive service. We would certainly return and have recommended the hotel... More

On a recommendation from a good friend, who has stayed here multiple times, we spent two days at the Hotel D'Argouges. Wish it could have been more. Everything about this hotel is wonderful especially the staff.

Short walk to Cathedral and centre of town, indeed really it is in the centre. Slightly off the road so quiet Large garage to securely store cars and bikes overnight. Staff are terrific - always helpful, always smiling. Breakfast from 7am with a broad choice on offer. My ensuite was great - huge, very well appointed, nice washing products and... More

I found this wonderful hotel in Rick Steve's book on Normandy. Easy two hour train ride from Paris. My stay was relaxing, the room modern & comfortable. I was treated to a Calvados in the courtyard and entertained by the house dog... The next day I was conveniently picked up for my tour of the D-Day Landings. I would highly... More

We spent 6 days in this charming mansion converted into a hotel. Bayeux proved to be a good place for exploring the D Day beaches and hotel D'Argouges proved to be an excelent choice. The hotel is situated in the center of town, yet off the main street. We had a room in the main building which was quiet and... More

The rooms are relatively simple and vary in size. Bathrooms have all been modernized with great rain forest shower heads. Views of lovely garden are delightful. There is a nice reception area and outdoor garden with tables and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine. Staff couldn't be nicer. Gave us excellent dinner suggestions. A great place to stay if... More

.We originally thought Caen would be a good jumping off point for Normandy but Bayeux proved to be closer and more convenient. So we asked the desk at the Best Western in Caen if they had a hotel in their chain they could recommend in Bayeux and they didn't but offered to recommend one. They booked 2 nights for us... More

Spent a night there as we explored the DDay landing beaches and couldn't recommend it more highly. A charming old building, pre-revolutionary and all, blended into modern comfort, good food, delightful staff and even a couple of hotel dogs to make it more fun. Especially enjoyed the time spent in the outdoor patio garden taking in the atmosphere, sipping on... More
