We fully enjoyed our stay. The staff spoke English and was very friendly. The hotel itself had a great deal of character and was just what we were looking for in the heart of the city. There was ample parking at the rear of the property and a small parking garage and parking lot. We stayed in room number 7... More

We just returned from 3 nights in Bayeux with our 2 teenage sons. Hotel d'Argouges was a fantastic home base. Comfortable family room with beds for everyone. Very nice breakfast and wonderful helpful staff. Well located in beautiful Bayeux, which was the perfect home base for our Normandy tour focused on WWII sites. Definitely recommend it.

On the main street in Bayeux, a short walk from the city center, shopping, restaurants and cathedral and museum. Bayeux is adorable to begin with and when step off the street into the courtyard of this hotel you will be delighted, The main house predates the French Revolution and has beautiful paneled and painted wood rooms on the first floor... A warm and friendly welcome from the staff and an overnight stay in a delightfully comfortable and quiet hotel followed by an excellent breakfast to start the day. Plenty of parking (must be pre booked) through the courtyard making the overall stay enjoyable and well priced.

A little archway on a main street takes you back to a time of quiet elegance! The hostess is welcoming and informative, in English if needed. The room was adorable and reminded me of a more formal time. The bathroom was ultra modern. Breakfast in the manor house was wonderful. The restaurant recommended by our hostess was also exceptional. She... More

A group of 8 stayed in 4 rooms in the Carriage House for 3 night and it was a wonderful hotel. We only ate breakfast 1 morning and opted for pastry shops and coffee for the other days. The location if perfect for walking around Bayeux. Rooms were very quiet, clean, WI-FI was free. I would recommend this hotel for... More

We highly rate this hotel, it is near the centre of Bayeux, a short walk to the Cathedral and the tapestry. There are many restaurants nearby and the hotel offers breakfasts. The bedrooms are an adequate size and to a good standard. Parking is in the grounds. The public rooms are originally decorated.

My family and I had a pleasant stay at Hotel d'Argouges. It was right in the middle of Bayeux which was easy to explore on foot and a good base to explore Normandy. You can park your car for free in the hotel's compound. The place had a lot of character, yet at the same time, with modern amenities such... More

I'd have to give this a 2.5 - better than "poor" but simply not "average." As almost all reviews have pointed out, the staff is top-notch; they really are devoted to making sure your stay in their hotel goes smoothly. Good location (Bayeux is small, so I'd be hard-pressed to find a "bad" location). Our room itself was rather disappointing.... More

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Our room was in the former stables. Not much storage but we only stayed one night so we didn't need to unpack. Two twin beds that we moved together. Not ideal but better than a queen bed for my 6'4" boyfriend and me. No air conditioning. That could be a problem in the... More
