Staying at the Hotel d'Argouges is a delightful French experience. It is in an old building which has been renovated retaining some of the original stonework including the checker-board parlour floor, front staircase and front garden wall. The parlour is decorated in the traditional style and is tres chic. The gardens are landscaped with roses and bright annuals. The roses... more

We only stayed 3 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The staff were all wonderful, welcoming, friendly and so helpful at all times. The hotel is a mini-chateau and we were treated like royalty! Our rooms were extremely comfortable, airy and delightful. We would have preferred a shower rather than bath as our friends had but that was... more

Excellent 3-star hotel, perfectly located in a beautiful town. All the style of a chateau built in 1734, with faultless and friendly staff (which is not always the case in France). Good breakfast (and sandwiches at lunchtime in the beautiful gardens), but no restaurant. If arriving by car from the north (e.g. from Cherbourg), drive very carefully into the town... more

This small hotel is a real gem. It has a great location, and it's in walking distance to the cathedral and museums. There's a garden in the back, and you can order wine, coffee, or lunch. A buffet breakfast is also available. Parking is available at the hotel, which is a big convenience. It's very quiet, and the rooms are... more

We loved this hotel, big but quaint. The room was big with a nice bathroom...we could have used a shower curtain and wash cloths. But this is France, so no problem. The owners were so very friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful old place situated on the town square. The town is wonderful, bakeries everywhere. We took the BattleBus... more

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel d'Argouges. We had a triple room for two so it was a nice size. It was clean and comfortable. The dining area is very nice and I enjoyed the breakfast room with helpful staff. The garden was also very nice to have a glass of wine and enjoy the scenery at the end... more

I traveled with my husband and sister n law and brother n law to Paris and surrounding areas. We decided to go to Bayeux on the spur of the moment, and I am so glad we did. We got there in the late afternoon and drove around the city looking for a hote. While parked we saw the Hotel d'Agouges... more

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel d'Argouges. The room was spacious, beautifully furnished and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a number of good choices and the waitress was attentive. The parlour room where we ate was beautiful - a lovely tapestry and wall sculptures to contemplate, not to mention the lovely... more

We stayed here based on the high TripAdvisor ratings and weren't disappointed. The entire staff was friendly, and the room was great. Its timber framed room was cozy & charming, and the car park was convenient with a perfect location. You're right across the street from a laundromat, and at the top end of the main street, so you're only... more

My husband and I recently visited the Normandy region of France and stayed at Hotel d'Argouges. It was really a wonderful place to stay with a great staff and a very nice, quiet location. It is close to good restaurants and easily accessible to the D-Day beaches, walking to the Cathedral and Tapestry, and a great place to stay and... more
