We unfortunately left it a bit late to book and hence not a lot was available. We booked into the Brunville hotel but were put in Grand Hotel Luxembourg. I would not bother. The shower head would not stay up there were no decent glasses to have a glass of water only black heavy type plastic, which tasted of some sort... More

Stay elsewhere! Grand is a misnomer! We stayed one night and would not have wanted to stay any longer. Like other reviewers we had the abysmal room 504. The room is tiny. There is no space for a bedside table, and the only place for the suitcase stand is blocking the wardrobe door. The wiring for the wall mounted lamp... More

We last stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and should have known what it was like. We were sent to room 504 which was attic room in an annexe . If you were over 5ft you would have difficulty getting to this room due to head space. Once in room one had difficulty accessing a side of bed due... More

ive stayed in hotels globally and this is perhaps the worst managed of all!! one person at front desk, a bar with no bartender, facilities in rooms that don't function: leaky showers, toilets, toilet paper napkins in lieu of rolls, twin beds rammed together and passed as queens, NO STORAGE in any of the un remodeled rooms! lets discuss breakfast.... Our room was clean and nice. We were on the second floor facing the parking lot. We had a view from our window of the Cathedral. At night it was lighted and it was beautiful. The area was very quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our electrical converter stopped working and they had a whole box of converters to... More

We booked the Grand Hotel du Luxembourg and we were put in the De Brunville. They are attached with a walk through the parking lot. The hotel staff, were not friendly. The rooms were dingy and smell like smoke (even though we were told we were in a nonsmoking room). There is a little lobby at de Brunville with 4... More

We had booked two nights at the de Brunville but on arrival found we had been put into the "superior" Luxembourg, both of which share facilities, such as they are. I hate to think how grim the former is given the appalling quality we experienced in the Luxembourg. There is a total lack of signage, which makes it very difficult... More

We were moved to this hotel following a long argument on the accommodation for the adjoining hotel. See review called Avoid at all costs! We had rung the hotel regarding parking as the main driver is disabled and also asked to be near a lift. We were a couple and a family with a 10 year old. The room was... More

The 'Grand' Hotel du Luxembourg bills itself as a 3 star charming hotel and restaurant in a 17th century building. However, when we checked in, we were led outside, across a courtyard and into the Hotel de Brunville, a modern hotel, not just lacking charm, but badly in need of redecoration. The room was dark. Some of the lights didn't... More

We had booked a room (through a travel agent) for June 2013 in February 2013. After traveling by rail from London to Paris to Caen to Bayeux (and dealing with a transportation strike resulting in a two hour delay) we arrived at the Grand Hotel du Luxembourg only to be cheerily informed by the hotel clerk they had no rooms...
