very basic hotel with little in the way of a welcome! four of us on motorcycles, we were informed we could put all our bikes in one car space, then the charges would be as one car per night, on going to our room 604 we found the vent fan for both bathroom and WC were not working! asking reception... Our travel agent booked this hotel for us and even though we had read reviews here we still decided to give it a try. Bad choice. This is a very tired and unmaintained property. For example: our room had wallpaper that was falling off the wall and no one had bothered to take the couple of minutes to fix. The... More

Due to last minute plans to visit Bayeux around June 6, we had to settle for the Grand Hotel du Luxembourg. The location is wonderful, but that is where the positive comments stop. Although they advertise free wifi, we never had any wifi service during our 4-night stay. What was even more frustrating was the staff's indifference. The woman at... More

The hotel was clean and basic, they did not have enough staff to cover the restaurant so our group of 9 people were turned away. The bar was covered by the receptionist who did not have a clue. The rooms were clean, tidy and cleaned every day we were there. The location was within walking distance of the towns attractions.... More

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Luxembourg for 1 night 14th May ...it certainly is not "Grand". We had booked the Luxembourg but when we checked in the receptionist was lovely but didn't mention that we were staying in The Hotel Brunville. It was well over priced for the tired decour and from the front entrance of the Brunville it... More

Before staying at this hotel with friends I wanted to phone the hotel to check on the availability of parking. It took me 2 days of calling to track down a number which was actually answered rather than left to ring. This should have been a warning. The good things about this hotel are the parking space which is very... More

Our coach party booked in recently, the staff were very unfriendly and gave the impression that we were to much trouble. There was no wi fi connection, the TV was not tuned into BBC world news, Guide asked staff to retune channels but told he was in France. Very backward attitudes, could not get drinks in the bar. We had... More

Great value, full of charm and an excellent central location. Room fully refurbished and a very good size (I was single occupancy). First class continental breakfast on offer. Hotel evening meal was of restaurant quality, great value and first class service from our waitress Marie Noelle. Indeed all the staff were friendly and attentive, with special mention to Mary, who spoke... More

This drab hotel barely rates three stars only because the rooms were clean, the location very central and the staff were pleasant. We had three rooms for two nights, each of which had 'very tired' decor and the double beds were no more than two twins badly pushed together. The sheets were a bit grey and the towels were frayed.... More

Used this hotel as a base to visit the WWII beaches. Four of us had single rooms on the top floor, all recently refurbished and served by a lift or stairs. No complaints about the rooms, comfortable and plenty of hot water. Only observation would be that during the evening the stairs were a bit dark and you had to... More
