We booked the Luxembourg, but when we arrived, they pulled a switch to the Brunville, which is adjoining. We protested the change, but then told us the Lux was full. We had made reservations in January, for our May trip. We felt cheated--we ended up taking the two rooms, which were satisfactory but not exceptional. No ac, beds were a... more

We recently had the misfortune of staying two nights in this Hotel. Up until the time of arriving we had spent an enjoyable holiday in France. The staff at this hotel need a serious lesson in customer care. The reception staff were rude and arrogant. The rooms were greatly overpriced and substandard', to a degree whereby we were kept awake... more

My husband and I stayed in this hotel recently. We had not booked in advance, just showed up at reception and booked in for one night. A credit card was requested to "secure the reservation", which we duly presented. We mentioned that we would be paying cash on check-out. We reserved a table at the hotel restaurant that evening. What... more

I stayed in five hotels on a recent tour of Normandy and this was the only one that wasn't a great choice. First of all I must say that the town of Bayeux is a delight, well worth staying the night as there is a lot more to enjoy than just the tapestry and the cathedral. The hotel is well... more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! THEY STOLE MY MONEY AFTER I CANCELLED 2 MONTHS IN ADVANCE. They continually refuse to return any of my money. I been advise by one of their workers that they do this A LOT!! Save yourself the hassel, there are many other nice places to stay in Bayeux. more

Booked into the hotel by phone en-route to Bayeux. Guess it is only a 3 star accomodation but it was rather dull! We were told check in was from 2.30pm so arrived promptly and on getting to our room found it was still being cleaned! In the evening on our return to the hotel it seemed that we had to... more

Four adults who booked three nights as part of a package with Brittany Ferries - price included breakfast, which was far better than we thought - fresh fruit salad, fresh, warm croisants, danishes and baguettes, ham and cheeses. Available 6.30 - 10am too! We booked one double room and a twin - the twin room was much bigger, so I... more

We were in 601, the suite above the check in on the first floor. The room and hotel were pretty shopworn. Towels were stained, fixutres and furniture from another era. A little bit of renovation investment would go a long way as the building and location were just fine. Value (Euro 93 for the suite) was fair. more

Our hotel in Paris was pretty bad, so this felt like a mansion in comparison, even though it was nothing compared to an American hotel. The staff was friendly for the most part. The rooms were well lit and clean. We stayed two nights in our first room and never had any problems. The third night we had some jerk... more

Hotel is in the town center, a five minute walk from the Cathedral and about 10 to the Tapestry. Booked the room on the on the Best Western website because their "Internet Special Early Rate" was cheaper than Expedia. Private car park for 8 Euros was a welcome sight on the narrow medieval streets. Check-in was pleasant and the young... more
