We stayed three nights at this guest house. In room #6 for two nights and then room #1 for one night. Room #6 was the quieter of the two; they were both very nice and clean. Anthony, the owner, was very helpful. Although we did not meet in person, he was very helpful via the phone. Anthony's mother manages Le... More

Upon arriving to Bayeux, we had no difficulty finding this charming B&B; however, as others have indicated, no one was there to check us in. I followed the sign to another family owned B&B a few doors down, and met the son. He called back to Le Castel and was able to speak to his mother and let her know... More

The location of this b&b is excellent, within easy walking distance (5-10 mins) to the tourist office, ATMs, places to eat, the Bayeux Tapestry. There is free car parking available, although it is a public car park, so be aware that access to it depends on how many people are using the car park. It's quiet overnight, but there is... More

Ok, Madame Monique has no english. But for sure is possible to get along well with some good will. Walking distance from the train station (5 minutes) and city centre is one minute walking. Nice and confortable room and good breakfast for 6,50 euros per person. All in all, a wonderful and charming place to stay with very good value.

We arrived at this guesthouse to find a sign that said to go down the road to another hotel to find someone to wait on us. Kinda a bad sign. So, I tracked down the hostess, who showed us into the lobby and explained to my French-speaking wife the particulars of the room from the stairwell downstairs. We were unclear... More

The hostess speaks only French, but she is welcoming and helpful, and anyone with a few words of that language will get along fine here. The house is well maintained - a charmer, with handsomely furnished rooms and modern bath facilities. Breakfast is good. Stairs to climb are not ideal for lugging heavy suitcases, but on the other hand is... More

Stayed three nights as part of a three month trip. The operators were tending the mansion next door and ushered us into the side door of Le Castel and up three flights to a tiny old room with no views of anything. They made it clear not to bother them or to come into the parlor except at breakfast, which... More

We stayed in this beautiful, gracious guesthouse as part of an 8 week European adventure. My husband dearly wanted to visit the Bayeux Tapestry and so we chose this historic town to visit. When we arrived at Le Castel Noble Guesthouse we were warmly greeted by Anthony who showed us into this amazing house. Our room was extremely comfortable and... More

My husband and I along with another couple from Rome had a fabulous time in Bayeux and loved our stay at Le Castel. Our rooms were wonderful and had balconies which were great for a glass of wine and just relaxing from the day's site-seeing. Monique was a warm hostess who always wanted to accommodate our needs.

Having booked ahead most all our hotels previously, I thought it would be fun to drive into a town, find something lovely, and spontaneously say, "let's stay there!". Le Castel was perfect (or so I thought!) - charming and beautiful on the outside. It was 7:30 pm already so I knew for a B&B it would be risking it to... More
