Have just returned from a two night break in Lille. It is a great city for a weekend break with a charming old town and just enough to see and do to keep you occupied. Hotel was superb. We stayed (female friend and I) for 2 nights in early November 2006. Arrived late evening on Eurostar into Lille and it is about a 20 minute walk from the station.
