On the one hand the room was very comfortable and you do get what you pay for, but our room for 3was located at the end of the block, right next to the railway track. Yes they don't hammer through all night but they do run ate and start early, causing a shorter night sleep than planned. Didn't eat breakfast... More

Had to stay in this hotel (professional trip to Lille) and found it below my expectations. Pros: The rooms were clean. There's a the metro station 5 minutes walk. Looks good (...from the outside...!). Breakfast doesn't have a huge selection but it's OK (Milk, Fruit, Yoghurts, Toats and of course: Croissants...). Cons: This should be called a Motel not a... Stayed one night here, on the edge of a retail park, rooms accessed off an external balcony, basic facilities looking a little bit tired but as I paid only £42 for a double room you get what you pay for. Breakfast and evening meal extra in a adjacent restaurant were of good quality. The local retail park has the typical... More

When we went to france we booked a hotel here which was great, the room was clean and we managed to get a good night sleep, but watch out, some staff do try to take money from you by charging you extra, the destination isn't that great either you need to pay the train to go into town due to... The photos here don't seem to match this actual hotel/motel. The address is correct though. I always find Campanile to be a bit sleezy due to the way the hotel is set up with the only outside accessible rooms and the layout of the rooms, but that might be a personal thing. For this stay I didn't have a choice... More

On arrival we thought we had pulled up at Butlins but once inside our room/chalet we were pleasantly surprised. Bright and modern, with comfortable beds. Tea tray complete with biscuits. Flat screen TV. Exceptionally clean bathroom with a large walk in shower. The rooms were warm and spotlessly clean. The reception/bar/waiting staff were all very helpful. The food in the... More

Stayed three nights. I'm a light sleeper but unlike other reviewers didn't find it noisy at all. I think the reviewer who said it's near supermarkets, bars etc must have been reviewing a different Campanile- this one is in the middle of an area full of hospitals with no sign even of a corner shop never mind anything bigger. Having... More

A pleasant and friendly run hotel but suffers from being situated between the TGV rail lines and the Lille overhead metro rail systems. Only problem with the room was a tear in the lino floor covering (trip hazard, reported to reception). But I am a light sleeper and the noise is a problem.

This was one of a number of lower star hotels bundled in to a Eurostar 2 for 1 offer. The others generally got dreadful reviews but you know what you're getting in a Campanile. Rather like its British cousins - travelodge etc - its an entirely standard layout. That said its good value, less than10 mins walk (the sign for... More
